I very rarely watch TV shows with a built-in narrative formula, but House is an exception for me simply because it's easily the one of the best to ever do it, it's hard carried by the fact that the characters are actually entertaining to watch and you know, DO THINGS.There was a story I heard recently where Hugh Laurie went off against someone criticizing House for being formulaic and therefore shit. Hugh went on to say "I look forward to your novel" or something like that. And he's right.
House is also not strictly formulaic like how "Phineas and Ferb" is, it does have continuity and a wider story revolving the personal issues surrounding House and the others
