It's sad that Inoue's last good Kamen Rider series was Agito itself. Faiz was plagued with too much J-drama and miscommunications from different characters while Kiva seemed to rehash concepts from Faiz such as the secondary Kamen Rider being an asshole and the Checkmate Four being a vampire version of the Lucky Clover. Also, the Wonderful Blue Sky Organization is completely useless in both the 1986 and 2008 timelines.

Just like Vince Russo from the wrestling world, Inoue needs some people to tard-wrangle him in order to at least create sensible plots without insulting the intelligence of the fans.
I normally have a very high tolerance for Inoue's shenanigans but Kiva is easily the worst of the 2000s shows.
wow checking his wiki I was really surprised about Sho being a bitch about Kane doing tv
Sho was literally in a tv show with a Van Patten ffs, that is a unique mark of shame he had to fly across the fucking Pacific to pull off
Kane did eventually have a decent-ish film career too. That surprisingly fun Dead or Alive movie with Kevin Nash and Godzilla Final Wars off the top of my head.

yeah for Son Of Famous Japanese Guy in media he's done a pretty solid job of it

I almost forgot that Guyferd is 30 years old this year. There was an interactive movie that was released for the Playstation and Sega Saturn for that show back then. I remember that some of its regular cast members ended up in Gransazer. Part of the reason why I liked this show back then was that the evil organization and Guyferd's origins reminded me of the Showa-era Kamen Rider shows.

Man its been a while since anyone posted here. The last few episodes of Zeztz have still been amazing!

I guess that's why there hasn't been much to discuss lol

But!!!!

The redditors and alphabet "fans" have been aghast about how Zeztz has treated the female cast.

I also watched ep. 16 of Gavan. I really like the fact that they ran wild with the different dimensions.

So far, the second half of Zeztz has been interesting to the point that I want an S.H. Figuarts version of Zeztz Exdream instead of Dawn.

Guess it's their first time watching a Kamen Rider show. If they were actual fans, they would have known that even in the early years, Tackle was killed near the end of Stronger, Femme from Episode Final got killed, Shuki only lasted a few episodes, etc. Only Jeanne, Valkyrie and Na-go got significant roles in these past few years.

Opinions of redditors and the raging faggot "fans" are moot to begin with.

It's pretty cheap to not do anything with Kureha and only bring her back to kill her off, but I wouldn't call it sexism. Hell, Five was also killed off not long after, and nobody's getting pissy about that.

If anything, it's been a problem with a lot of the more recent Kamen Rider series. When there are too many characters to keep track of and the writer doesn't know what to do with some of them, they're either killed off, turned evil, or in cases like Kento from Saber, both.

Those retards are only pissed because they killed off their "Trans" Icon... even though Yuzuki-chan clearly played a girl character in Kureha. And IMO, Rita was also clearly meant to be a girl in the King Ohger series.

I wasn't paying attention to Sentai back then but apparently the call sheet for Rita stated any gender could audition? Or was that another Western LoLcalizer attempt to pull their bullshit.

EDIT:

EP 17 of Gavan is another great goofy dimensional episode lol.

The Western toku twitter is just stuffed with LGBT types who can't handle that the shows they wanna talk about are ultimately made for 10 year old Japanese boys. Like, they're kids shows actually made for kids unlike, say, Steven Universe and the rest of all those weepy dyke cartoons.

I'm happy that, even in Zeztz, Tachibana-san is still the best character. I hope we get a Dawn V-Cinema.

I personally go with the gender neutral pronouns, but I thought the joke was that Rita goes by they/them because they're supposed to be an unbiased judge in their country.

They'd probably freak out at the Gamakujira episode of Ultraman.

I see that a lot of Western/English-speaking tokusatsu fans in general are insufferable in that they take these shows way too seriously. Because at the end of the day like you've just said, these shows are marketed towards kids and I think a lot of adult tokusatsu fans have forgotten that.

I remember disliking Gaim, Drive and Ex-Aid so much many years ago due to the nonsense gimmicks/silly-looking armor (in the case of Drive, not giving him a motorcycle at all despite calling him a Kamen Rider) yet I ended up liking them to an extent years later for the story to the point that I'm getting a few merch from those shows such as the S.H. Figuarts versions of Ex-Aid Muteki Gamer and Drive Type Tridoron.

We got poster/trailer reveal of the next Project R.E.D series!

It's nice seeing so many new monsters. I think the protagonist's suit still looks a bit too much like a new Gavan. Emolgear coming back is a disappointment. Such a flavorless collectible. But, I guess Toei and Bandai wanted to make sure all those new toys would still get a full year's worth of compatibility. Supposedly the kaiju can equip all of the same weapons that Gavarion GC-R can, according to the Chinese leaker a while back.

Looking forward to giving it a shot, but I wish the toy gimmicks were different.
