The kid is literally undead; his brain is practically pudding.Hollie won the appeal for a new case. The remitted hearing will be 7/11. It is a Best Interests hearing and is expected to last a day.
Her barrister is now fighting to get that special doctor that says Archie is alive to be the expert witness even though hes already been denied. They also want his Guardian ad Litem to be fired.
Good God, that face...Ella treating the occasion with the appropriate solemnity. Gotta tell those damn dirty trolls what you think of them.Ver archivo adjunto 3439620
And for no other reason than for the entertainment of the yanks and the tittliation of the br*ts had to screenshot this classic natural bonglandish beauty sharing her kid's uncensored photo and her own Fanta orange mega filtered face to this group of random nutters. #Queen

It's fascinating to me how Spain and Ireland are both Catholic states but Spain, even with its history of colonialism, machismo and whatnot it has greater abortion protection. Spain also had laws where the eldest child, regardless of sex, inherited property (least in the Middle Ages) and had prominent Queens like Isabella of Castile who was an independent queen in her own right.I don't disagree that racial prejudice likely played a factor, given the midwife manager confirmed in court that she told Savita she could not have an abortion because Ireland was a Catholic country. She contextualized it as a response to Savita bringing up abortion being possible under the Hindu faith and in India, but still have some fuckin' tact like. Source. I think Savita would have died even if she was a white Irish woman. The prevailing medical attitude at the time was that the risk of prosecution for providing a termination necessary or otherwise, made it a non-starter. The eighth amendment was clear, both the mother and the unborn (note the specific phrasing) had an equal right to life. It's also worth noting that public services in Ireland, health and education especially, are so deeply intertwined with the catholic church that regardless of what's listed on paper, the dogma is always present in upper-level decision making.
A lot of this informed my decision to emigrate from Ireland. The risk to my reproductive health under the laws at the time was clear and present. Fortunately I didn't choose America as my destination, but I know a lot of other women who did and my heart goes out to each and every one of them now. People don't always have the choice to land in a blue state, you end up wherever you're able to set a stable life up for yourself relative to your means and ability and you make it work so you don't have to go back. UGH.
(I'm super happy to talk about Irish abortion history somewhere appropriate and not A&N but for now unless specified otherwise I'm gonna keep it out of this thread because it feels OT and derail-y. It caused a lot of tard babies sure but I'm not referring to any of them)
Kid looks creepy but other posters have said he's sentient, he's conscious and he's aware of what he is, so he's still capable of making informed decisions.Ver archivo adjunto 3438602
I had to suffer so you must all suffer.

My brother -in-law was 27 week preemie and had the gaunt angular face as a baby. He had it for a couple of years even though he was growing and gaining weight. The premies I know mostly have kinda gaunt, angular faces despite being healthy or only slightly below healthy weights and no-one else in the family looking that way. Thin hair and poor hairlines too.
I had twins at 28 weeks and the hospital's counsellor put us in contact with support a group for parents of premies. There's about 12 kids I met and literally my twins and 1 other girl avoided those facial features.
Interesting to think of this ethically. Usually you think of medical resources wasted but I wonder how much antibiotic resistant bacteria could be created by having a braindead person on life support for years. And what about the fossil fueled electricity keeping the machines going? For no benefit to quality of life. I wonder if Hollie is one of those ppl who don't believe in climate change.little baby Jesus want him to die a peaceful natural death by slowly necrotising on a vent, being colonised by resistant bacteria until finally an organ quits
I'm so glad you did post though. Nice to know several people I thought were somewhat normal are positively ghoulish.Okay, if you want to call out the A&Ners for being A&Ners, do it in the Thunderdome. I'm beginning to regret posting about the end of Roe vs. Wade in this thread.
I'm so sorry. It had to be hard on you.MATI PL
When my elderly father became skin and bones, shitting in a diaper and staring at a wall in his hospital bed, the last words he said to me were: "Why won't they let me go?" as he cried on the phone.
As in, my father knew he was dieing and that the doctors were prolonging his death by pumping him full of medication and keeping him on machines.
He died two days later of natural causes because he wasn't on a fucking ventilator forcing him to keep going.
Just something I've been thinking about.
Not sure if this will show, being UK and being BBC (semi paywall) and can't archive right now, sorry.
Bbc, after being in court with Archie's parents today, are presenting the story in a slightly different way
