It's fascinating to me how Spain and Ireland are both Catholic states but Spain, even with its history of colonialism, machismo and whatnot it has greater abortion protection. Spain also had laws where the eldest child, regardless of sex, inherited property (least in the Middle Ages) and had prominent Queens like Isabella of Castile who was an independent queen in her own right.
Ireland under Catholicism was the opposite. You read pagan Irish law as giving women equal rights but it was undone under Christianity. It's just incredible seeing the contrast between the two.
Same with France. Abortion was illegal pre Revolution but it still happened, and the government couldn't do anything if they didn't know.
Kid looks creepy but other posters have said he's sentient, he's conscious and he's aware of what he is, so he's still capable of making informed decisions.

When my elderly father became skin and bones, shitting in a diaper and staring at a wall in his hospital bed, the last words he said to me were: "Why won't they let me go?" as he cried on the phone.
As in, my father knew he was dieing and that the doctors were prolonging his death by pumping him full of medication and keeping him on machines.
He died two days later of natural causes because he wasn't on a fucking ventilator forcing him to keep going.
Just something I've been thinking about.

Plot twist! The so called troll facebook page has unmasked a real damn dirty troll who was playing both sides off and apparently does this about all these cases. Identified from context clues including their android notification bar which is really top notch autism.

I'm not very religious and I don't pray often, but keeping up with Archie's case and especially seeing the ruling today has me praying that he will be able to peacefully pass away sooner than later and retain whatever dignity he has left. I understand not wanting your suicidal child to die, but he's already dead. There are pieces of his decayed brain in his lumbar spine. Let him rest. I hope that Hollie gets whatever is coming to her. Even for Tard Baby General this is fucking bleak.

I don’t know exactly what was said in court but the crash team can attend without someone being in cardiac arrest (source: I had them pile in once and didn’t arrest). Soon as that monitor goes off, they are straight in just incase.

Interesting to think of this ethically. Usually you think of medical resources wasted but I wonder how much antibiotic resistant bacteria could be created by having a braindead person on life support for years. And what about the fossil fueled electricity keeping the machines going? For no benefit to quality of life. I wonder if Hollie is one of those ppl who don't believe in climate change.

Hollie is right, Archie IS progressing! His brain necrosis is progressing anyway...
In court they admitted there was no hope of recovery, then she gets on TV and says he's progressing and gaining weight.

Here's a screen recording of the latest BBC report. A totally different story. Rabbit and bag and hollie "snapping" the cord are now replaced by Hollie having been out of the house and returned to find Archie "lying on the floor" with brain damage. It's not like the BBC to make fuckups on that level and Hollie isn't disputing this report. This falls in line with the rumours that she had left him home alone when the hanging occurred.
Edited just to add a shower thought about Hollies past. I wonder whether she was a competitive child gymnast herself and whether there's a bit of a pipeline from gymnastics --> sexual abuse --> hypersexual traumatised teenager --> pole dancer ++

It's part gossip and part a really good explanation of why Hollie kept changing the story. She found out that 3 minutes was the longest time someone could go without air before brain damage set in and tried to retcon the story to fit.
