It was boring. The absolute best way to describe it - boring. Even his pumpkin-kid x pedo-knight shtick was boring (and felt obligatory). It was just his Pool Day episode from two months ago, re-skinned to be about dodgeballs + SU's Summer Camp as others pointed out.
The whole episode felt like a bunch of disconnected vignettes that completely failed to click together into a cohesive story. For example, what was the point of Sprout stealing Dandy's identity, other than random shock value? What impact did it have? When this subplot started with all this creepy music, I was curious. I thought the whole episode was building up to a bait-and-switch: he starts with lame dodgeball jokes, everything is deliberately plain and mediocre, and then suddenly - boom! - a psychological horror about Sprout becoming a villain. Maybe a fight will occur, maybe they will try to murder each other, maybe Dandy has to escape and plot his revenge, maybe they both will go insane? That would have been an unexpected turn of events. But no. This entire arc is dismissed. He had it right there, a good idea to carry the episode and subvert the tropes - and instead, we got the same repetitive gayness dragged out far too long, mixed with ichor faggotry to make 14yo TikTokers post skull and fire emojis in chat. I just don't get it.
And what is weird, Tamers specifically claimed upcoming episode was going to be "a long one" in his tweet, saying will post it next week instead. I have zero issues with him having bi-weekly schedule, but this episode was not long at all. It is barely 23 minutes + 5-minute ending song. Maybe it was hard to produce? I don't think so. It lacks any impressive visuals to justify the delay. Take MLP The Abyss episode, for instance. I don't like this angsty bitchy lesbian drama but at least this episode was pure visual candy. But this episode is not at the same level of quality. It is just as visually the same as any of his others. The only part which shows more efforts is the final part with ichor, which lasted for 15 seconds, that is it.
I have no idea why he hyped it up as a "long" episode when it simply isnt. Honestly, if he had just been straightforward and said, "I was too busy eating Little Caesars pizza and couldnt finish the episode in time ha ha ha hi ha. I will release it next week dont worry ma bitches" - then I would have said kek and no problems. I was expecting 1h long episode since he stressed that episode will be long. Well I guess I was bamboozled then. Good job on baiting me.
