fftopic:It's a callback to a similar-but-less-completely-insane rant from the pilot episode. Even with context it's unsettling to watch, but I always figured it was not meant to be funny, but rather show how completely unhinged Rick was. Seeing how they thrashed him in this season, it was probably intentional (and maybe even a jab at the fanbase who worships him like a god).fftopic:

Who did not see this coming? This is such a classic marketing move. Release in microscopic supply to drive up demand, then come out the hero when you do a full release. McDonalds is getting ridiculous free publicity right now over the sperging, and they'll get even more when they finally release the sauce completely.
