Chocolate Delight
16oz Container of Cool Whip
Bag of Pecans
1 Box of Chocolate Pudding Mix
Premade chocolate chip cookies that have been crumbled (Dealers choice, though Chips A'Hoy is the gold standard for this recipe)

Within a glass baking dish (necessary) layer down the cookies as a base. Followed by the chocolate pudding. Then the cool whip. Repeat until the final layer is cool whip and too with the pecans. Leave in the fridge overnight to set. This is a recipe from a church cookbook in my grandmother's home. She always made it for Sunday dinner, though she can't really see anymore due to severe glaucoma. But we still make it from time to time and I am one of the few she's said to have gotten it right.

Can I swap out the pecans for any alternatives?
