He was reportedly left down south when the marriage broke down and Susie moved to Leeds with her mother and her 4 sons, Jackie, a set of twins, and another boy.

This clip says Jackie was 7 when his parents split, so that would be around 2000

According to Jackie’s abandoned Twitter, he moved back in with dad summer 2012, so shortly before the pageant tv show was broadcast.

Jackie mentioned him doing a 600-mile cycle ride. I couldn't find any details of something finishing Friday 15 June 2012, but I did find a Tim Green who's done long-distance cycle rides for a charity called O2E.

Here's that Tim Green in Thailand (lol). Difficult to match to the picture in @ChaChaHeels:BlackOnes 's post, though the nose looks pretty similar. Source, archive.

Admittedly I've yet to watch the BBC Three documentary so I haven't got a good handle on what Tim looks like.

Mum is Julie Midgley.

I’m not quite sure if Margaret J Midgley is a sister to Susie or if Susie’s mum goes by her middle name.
Margaret went to the same school as Tim (actually, scratch that, it’s a generic catholic school name and there are loads of them).

The Catholic connection explains the anti gay son stuff though.

Alex Redmond is also a relative, possibly Margaret’s son (or the son of another unknown Susie sibling) so either Susie’s younger brother or Jackie’s first cousin.

Connor is Jackie’s brother but the twins aren’t on here. Perhaps they were living with dad or were too young to be be listed as occupants?

It’s looks like Susie and Tim might’ve tried to reconcile at one stage, or he might’ve just become a co mortgagee on the Leeds house when Susie remortgaged to pay for the dick chopping?


If I’m right, then Susie’s maiden name is Midgley, which may explain why she’s stuck with her exes name rather than reverting post divorce.

Bit of a change of pace back to Mermaids' employees now, and here we have Alex Woolhouse. Nothing scandalous like his colleague Darren Mew, but I thought it was interesting enough.

Catching up with what's been posted in the Mumsnet thread in the last couple of days.

The Times have reported on rogdmum's previous complaint about Mermaids to the Charity Commission, which they did nothing about. rodgmum says in the Mumsnet thread that the Charity Commission, despite speaking to the Times, has not actually contacted her at all. (thetimes.co.uk, archive.ph)

The Telegraph has reported on West Yorkshire Police receiving training on trans issues from Mermaids. This is important because Mermaids has its headquarters in Leeds, and so WYP would be the force responsible for investigating any allegations. (telegraph.co.uk, archive.ph)

It includes this worrying sentence:

West Yorkshire Police has refused a number of Freedom of Information requests asking for details of its contact with Mermaids, largely on grounds of cost.

Some, including Allison Bailey (a criminal barrister as well as being a top terf), are calling for the National Crime Agency to be responsible for any investigation into Mermaids. The NCA, however, says this about Stonewall on its website (nationalcrimeagency.gov.uk, archive.ph):

As an agency we are committed to supporting our LGBT+ officers in the workplace, and work closely with Stonewall. We are a member of the Stonewall Diversity Champions Programme and have recently signed up our leaders and our agency to the No Bystanders campaign tackling bullying and abuse toward the LGBT+ community. We have regularly appeared in the Stonewall Top 100 Employers list.

NCA leaders and officers march alongside law enforcement and emergency services personnel at Pride Events across the country to increase our visibility within the LGBT+ community.

This is not the first time concerns have been raised about West Yorkshire Police's links with Mermaids. In a 2019 article about Susie Green getting Surrey Police to grill Caroline Farrow, the Daily Mail included a sidebar about Mermaids' links to WYP:

Susie Green’s powerful transgender lobby group has forged close links with a police force behind a series of hate crime investigations.

West Yorkshire Police launched probes into an award-winning TV writer, a mother of four and a transsexual man following complaints from Mermaids.

But The Mail on Sunday can reveal that the force received ‘training sessions’ from Mermaids, which supports medical intervention for transgender children.

West Yorkshire Police has promoted Mermaids’ work, tweeting one of its leaflets.

Mermaids has also advised Merseyside Police, NHS staff, social workers, the Scouts and student nurses.

One West Yorkshire officer, Inspector David Harland, declared himself on social media to be a ‘trans ally’, adding that he was dedicated to ‘doing all I can for the trans community’.

In February last year, West Yorkshire sent officers to Wiltshire to investigate a mother of four following a complaint by Ms Green.

Echoing the Caroline Farrow case, Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull was questioned on suspicion of a malicious communications offence after Ms Green reported her for tweeting that Ms Green had illegally ‘castrated’ her ‘son’ by allowing him to have sex change surgery in Thailand at 16.

In April 2018, the force received another complaint, this time from Mermaid volunteer Helen Islan.

She claimed that transsexual Miranda Yardley, who has had gender reassignment surgery, had ‘outed’ Ms Islan’s transgender son by tweeting a picture of Ms Islan with her family, which included the child. West Yorkshire referred this incident to police in Essex, where Ms Yardley lives.

In a third case, West Yorkshire officers gave Graham Linehan, co-creator of the hit TV comedy Father Ted, a verbal harassment warning when transgender activist Stephanie Hayden reported him for referring to her as ‘he’ on Twitter.

A force spokeswoman said it was ‘committed to ensuring that anyone who feels targeted due to race, sexual orientation, religion, disability or gender identity is listened to’.

You may have spotted on Twitter a few days ago that the Royal Vauxhall Tavern in London had cancelled a fundraiser for Mermaids. It seems the pub was getting some pointed questions about the Mermaids scandal, though they were happy to see the fundraiser picked up by a group called "The Enby Show" -- apparently a sort of cabaret act.

Yes, that's right, Mermaids should have stuck up for Darren Mew, he of the "Panoply of Penises" as one Mumsnetter put it.

We are very disappointed by the lacklustre response that Mermaids has given in regards to the recent attacks on one of their employees (who is described in their statement as a "former employee"), and we would like to take a moment to speak about this.

To be clear: We support Mermaids as an incredibly important charity providing vital services to youths who are in need of care.

We also strongly support their hearing against the LBGA and the Charity Commission.

But, we have some criticisms of their recent actions.

They acted on the news about a former trustee's engagement in seemingly paedophile apologist behaviour very swiftly, and have reassured that they will improve their safeguarding measures going forward.

There does not appear to have been the same level of care given to the recent attacks on an innocent member of staff, who has been subjected to horrific attacks by both the mainstream UK media and many well known, blue tick "Gender Critical" accounts, and anti-trans campaigners elsewhere on places like Substack.

They stated:

"Secondly, The Times newspaper published an article today about a former member of staff. While we can confirm that the person referred to no longer works for the charity, we are unable to comment further due to the need to maintain confidentiality."

This is not good enough.

The member of staff was subjected to disgusting accusations, and adult materials (originally published with explicit consent in appropriate 18+ spaces) shared widely across social media without the subject's consent, nor regard for followers consent.

Their photos were misinterpreted and mislabeled in order to take a beautiful queer person and depict them as something seedy and shameful, a continuation of the GC campaign to rehash old fashioned homophobia and paint all queer people as predators and perverts.

We expect Mermaids to recognise the harm that has been done to their staff and show a commitment to protecting those who have not committed any wrongdoings, and ensure that all of their staff's wellbeing and security is made the priority in these matters.

This is not just about sex work, which is in no way immoral and is practiced by people from all walks of life (parents, teachers, authority figures, queers, cis hets) and should not be punished.

This is about protecting all queer people from discrimination.

We know that there is a huge intersection between the LGBTQIA+ community and sex work, adult entertainment and sex positive art and content creation.

Such a huge charity failing to take a strong stance on this matter risks alienating that very community that they exist to serve, people whose previous (or even current) work in adult industries is no indication of their ability to perform and succeed in more mainstream lines of work.
