G’day Null,
I don’t play with the crypto stuff because it seems like a worthless racket to me. Since I am not in America, USPS money orders aren’t an option for me. I was hoping I could use WU (through the app for direct transfers), but it seems that won’t work either. What can you recommend for those of us who are overseas who want to contribute?
I ain't Null; I dunno what he'll tell ya. What I can say is that unless you live in a jurisdiction that's restrictive or otherwise hostile to cryptocurrencies, you have
no reason to avoid them in a context where you're monetarily contributing to Kiwi Farms.
>crypto stuff seems like a worthless racket
It's only a worthless racket if you treat cryptocurrencies as crypto
investments, rather than using them for their original purpose: as decentralised digital currency. Null has stated in the past that crypto is more valuable to him than fiat, and for good reason. Null's been blacklisted from so many payment processors and institutions that crypto's basically a lifeline unto itself. In previous years, Kiwi Farms used to have a little footer at the bottom of the page that explicitly listed all the wallet addresses that someone can use to send crypto his way. Not just Bitcoin, but also Ethereum (ETH), Monero (XMR), among others.
If you're a complete and total amateur to the crypto purchase process, Null already wrote a
tutorial that gives you the rundown. I would personally abstain from buying BTC out of exchanges like Binance and Coinbase because, while convenient, they're tied to government ID and are known for banning people who directly wire BTC from their exchange address to any of Null's addresses. If you ultimately decide to go the exchange route, you'll want to send the crypto you buy from your exchange wallet to a local wallet from a program like
Electrum and then use your local wallet to send crypto to Null.
