Couldn't be me.

I think the Kiwifarms is entering the era where it's users begin using the site for it's non original-purpose. With the LurkingLemur stuff and people now leaving suicide notes on their own accounts. Some of these users need to remember this is the lolcow site and not their personal diary, if your letting the silly evil bird site dictate any part of your life you should seek therapy
I signed up for Sh0eonhead nudes.

This happened a while ago with people treating it not as a lolcow forum but as an image board replacement "without pozzed jannies".

Earliest one I can think of is @REMEMBERMKULTRA.

He was only here briefly, but I still remember, man.

In the modern world, a lot of people feel deeply lonely (or at least believe they are) and don’t see anywhere meaningful to turn. As a result, they fill their lives with empty media consumption, endless Discord servers, and para-social attachment to streamers as substitutes for real family or community. People are desperate to fill the void left by the disappearance of genuine community life, a relic of the past abandoned in favor of diverse (brown filled) mega-cities (whose only purpose was to house factory workers)

Unsurprisingly, this is a poor substitute, and over time it usually leaves them feeling even worse, especially as these spaces get overrun by constant political doom-posting, pedophiles, trannies and other annoying pests. It honestly wouldn’t shock me if some users here formed “bonds” with other forum users and have convinced themselves this site is a community.

But to be fair, there is some intent to make the site feel like a "community" otherwise there wouldn't be a chat in the main page, and you couldn't private message people or post in their profiles complimenting their cute anime pfp.

I mean @fuck you /couch cuck suicided by cop if I remember right

What a fag. When I kill myself the note will be like "Hey guys I'm just phoneposting in my mansion and... oh what's this I see a bunch of armed terrorist ninjas are out on the street shooting everyone brb while I take them all down heroically I hope there isn't one last guy I don't see until it's too late."

No one on this gay earth is important enough for the Morrowind quote to apply.
I partly disagree with you there. While I don't think the world can be fully doomed by one person's death, there are certain parts of it that would be doomed by a certain key person's untimely passing. People like Gabe Newell, or Linus Torvalds, or Richard Stallman, they have a tremendous influence in their corner of the world and if they had died long ago, the world would be significantly different from the world we live in now.

Shame, if he did. This whole year has been FUBAR to be honest, so many people gone. Whether you care about it or not, that is another image bearer of God snuffed out. I'd prefer people don't waste their lives on stupid frivolous things, but what can you do? I find people using stuff like the Morrowind quote or Joe Winko using the Sims as an almost punchline to their death as disheartening and disturbing, it just doesn't make sense to me. Something about it just makes me ill.

I understand to a certain extent. But this site I feel like has always tried to cultivate something of a community beyond just lolcows. I suppose someone could say it was going in that direction of expanding every since the name change, but I wasn't there for that so I couldn't say. Sure, the cows are the main star of the show, but it's nice that I can talk about other things while I'm here. By that same principle, does that mean that stuff like the "how are you doing" thread or the self-sufficiency board is a bad thing?

That said, in some prideful measure I can't help but feel that your post almost feels you speaking to me. (it's not, I'm not schizo ;))

I find that I use this site a little too much as is, but I suppose that's what happens when you have a bunch of interests that no one shares. No one else in my life really likes any of the same things I do, not that I am fuming about that fact or try to be so down in the dumps about it, that's just the price you pay for being different. I appreciate this site more than others because of its parts beyond the cows, and maybe that'll be my undoing. I suppose that's why cases like this guy hit a little closer to home. This could very well have been me in some other life.

If KF went down tomorrow forever, would I kill my self over it? No, but I can't say I'd be better off without it, though I certainly have other reasons to live beyond it. Its sad to me that some people here don't. Thankfully, this isn't my only form of socialization, nor my only "community". This site, as much as I love it, can never replace real friends or family, much as I can't relate to them.

Entering? You must not know about the DM chains; people have been doing this on KF for a long, long time. It's definitely weird, but it happens. I think it's just a symptom of being on the internet, maybe even moreso for places like KF, 4ch, etc. that are more inviting to "outcasts".

I'm all for like check ups but again, I just think the kiwifarms is not the greatest place to do that. This applies to any online community. You should put your mental health and such with real people who care about you, and not internet strangers you know nothing real about. Dont put your life in the hands of a guy who literally likes to see people at their lows
