Isn't that what people with Borderline personality disorder do? They put people on pedestals and when they do something wrong they freak out.

Since their only real hobby is screaming in anguish about the evils done to them personally by the evil world, they have to collect injustices. So they really are deliberately setting themselves up for yet another opportunity to cry about shitlords.

It's funny that they'll criticize men for putting women up on pedestals and holding them up to ridiculous standards.

Cognitive dissonance is a funny thing.
 
I think Tumblr will be setting up fan pages for that lamp in yesterday's Adventure Time rather than this now.

Ice King gave life to it and the first thing it said was it was not defined by its gender. I rolled my eyes, Tumblr likely had a sperg fest.

Yep, it's called splitting. They can have problems reconciling the idea that "good" people can do "bad" things, "bad" people can do "good" things, or that people are not 100% good or 100% bad, in general - and it's not even necessarily related to what the person does, but their perception of the person or what they do. So people can flip back and forth between "perfect savior can do no wrong" and "utterly worthless piece of shit" fairly easily. Although tumblr's version seems more like an effect of mob mentality or echo chamber than BPD to me.
 
He's an easygoing, optimistic, and friendly little kid that is constantly kept in the dark about everything, so he often does some dumb stuff. Like walking up to someone that is obviously a threat and saying hi.

And sometimes it works, like with Lapis. Other times it doesn't, like with Peridot. He's not stupid, though. Just naive and very friendly.
 
Steven Universe's tumblr fandom is terrible 90% of the time, but I remember it being much worse when Madoka Magica was trending(or at least more rabid) Basically tumblr spent all of their time squealing over the fact the characters are lesbians and only liking/caring for the show for that and sent death threats to male users because of that guy character one of the main characters liked that liked someone else(or something like that). Imo, the anime wasn't even that good and someone actually messaged me saying "YOU'RE JUST SAYING THAT CAUSE YOU'RE CIS WHITE AND STRAIGHT AREN'T YOU. GO TO HELL YOU HOMOPHOBIC TRASH IT'LL BE FUN WATCHING YOU GET RAPED BY A CIS STRAIGHT BOY DOWN THERE :)"

If they're both cis, why would they have sex? Why would a straight guy rape another straight guy? Doesn't that go against being straight?

I love how tumblrites scream that white cis males try and steal their shows. Because its not like a bunch of spoiled whiny teenage girls have ever obsessed over characters of a series aimed at boys and acted like the rivals are actually lovers to the point drawn tons and tons of yaoi art of them and written bad fanfiction of them fucking-OH WAIT.
