You think Rebecca Sugar knows that she made her show for transgirls specifically?
Rebecca Sugar is such an insensitive ass. How DARE she attempt a creative endeavor simply for the sake of it? She should just make something that exists solely to pander to a specific, narrow agenda. Because that always works out well, right?

I can't believe I'm defending tumblr, but I think they mean transgirls in the target demographic.

Sorta like how Transformers is usually aimed at 6-14 year old boys, outside of the collector's items.

I think. That post was aggressively stupid, so I'm not sure.

"the target-audience trans girls"

I posted a video in the mlp thread were a brony gets mad about a mlp coloring book.
One of his complaints is that the book isn't made for the true audience (him).

Just like bronies - SU fantards are entitled as fuck. Everything has to be about them. It's so gross ew.

Nicki Minaj has been criticized on tumblr a lot for her approach to feminism and some apparently transphobic lyrics.
While most of tumblr loves her, there's your slightly unpopular VA.
It was still weird to hear her unmistakable voice issuing from a 50 foot tall five-eyed purple ragemonster.

I think that's what they mean, but I don't think they mean any actual such individuals. They mean clones of themselves they presume exist in the bodies of the target audience and are as triggered, autistic, and retarded as they are in their response to the show.

"the target-audience trans girls"

Summed up: Tumblr user gets disgusted and disappointed by a kids show crossover by looking too deep into its story, chasing ghosts for answers that aren't there and reaching bullshit conclusions.

Entitled pricks.

Next episode stars Adam Baldwin as Steven's heroic uncle and William Shatner as his amazingly talented grandpa!
God, it reminds me of the Nintendo game that came out recently that had Adam Baldwin voicing the main character and Wil Wheaton voicing Abe Lincoln. No one knew what the fuck to do.

Anyway, anyone excited for Steven Universe Perfect?

Stephanie Salt outdid herself with this interpretation, IMO.

Umm, ok, "Trans girls who probably don't know they're girls yet"....we call those people, in the medical profession, "Not Transgender". I know, it makes me totally truskum, but you're not ACTUALLY transgender until symptoms of gender dysphoria manifest. I'm well aware of the whole "I've known since I was a baby!" claim. It's a self-reported statistic, and confirmation bias tends to color those kinds of recollections. Most GD symptoms manifest in early teen years, and solidify through puberty.

I'm not really all that concerned about a silly cartoon sight-gag causing irreparable damage to our transgender youth. Before the internet was a thing, most of us got the first inkling about ourselves, transwise, from just those "man in a dress" jokes.

If there is a point where your fanbase is so insufferable and entitled that they were no longer worth pandering to then we have passed it.

I think it would be hilarious if SU's creators got fed up with these loons enough they started directly making fun of their fandom (like Animaniacs eventually did).

I really wouldn't like it because it would be distracting during regular episodes. However, it would be pretty awesome if they did another non-canon ruse cruise episode (maybe steven hanging out with clarence or something) to induce more delicious rage in the tumblr fandom.

The best part of another episode like that is, for the most part, all the "outrage" is nicely condensed into one little ignorable hugbox. Tumblrites have done their best to make their little ballpit an invite-only little clique circle, and as a consequence, very little of their outrage "leaks" to the outside world to cause trouble.

The vast majority of viewers will get a giggle, Tumblrinas will go off the deep end, and we can sit back pointing and laughing.

How exactly are they tagging their porn so kids can't find it? I mean, tagging stuff nsfw is nice for people who can download blacklist and blacklist that tag if they don't want to see it, but that only works if a person creates a blacklist to block it. I know you can mark a blog as adult content, but does that actually stop your stuff from showing up in searches?
