Is it really as explicit or important as the fandom is making it out to be?

This is tumblr we are talking about, anything gay is a HUGE deal!1!!
They are just two genderless aliens in a relationship, honsetly the only thing it sort of effects is the whole gem fusion shit (having a connection with the gem you are trying to fuse or something?) even then, its not really anything big. but you know, lesbians.

One matters slightly more than the other, don't you think?

I don't deny that. But don't you think it's also a little silly to expect people to focus on one and only one thing in their life to the exclusion of others? You're not allowed to deal with issues that are insignificant in the grand scheme of things until all bigger issues are sorted? Fight both battles at the same time?

I don't see them fighting more than one battle unless it involves cartoons.

You are thinking of the infamous Dennis Falk. I want to say that what he did isn't possible in the modern day and I really knock on wood with that statement.
Oh you remembered who he was, now I can go down that shitty rabbit hole again

wow look at all this salt
how old is this person, 14?
Oh my god, someone who is probably an Enterbot and a major Steven Universe fantard is telling others not to watch the show. You do know that by, I don't know, actually watching the episode you are giving the show more ratings and actually giving it a chance to continue to exist? Are you guys seriously that retarded?

The show needing a crossover less than 60 episodes in doesn't have the best outlook for it...

That or the writers were just bored and wanted to do a Take That Fandom as a means of getting riled up over nothing and basically telling them that they suck.

You decide. Personally, I say that the episode was a Take That Fandom moment.

I think it started out as a "Wow, we really need a younger audience on this show, I bet it would be fun" and became that once they realized the fandom would go insane. It's not like the fandom doesn't deserve it for the shit they give them.

So, I just watched the crossover episode. I thought it was pretty funny, to be honest. There are still people bitching about it, of course.

TV Tropes dijo:
Animaniacs made fun of the more overzealous members of their Periphery Demographic in the famous "Please, Please, Pleese Get a Life Foundation" sketch (which features geeks rattling off Animaniacs trivia and nitpicks culled from an actual list found on a newsgroup).

I hope the Crewniverse ends up doing stuff like this.

It also makes me wonder what the response would have been if the internet/dialogue between fans and show staff was as prolific in the heyday of Animaniacs as it is now.

You'll have people bitching in every fandom, sadly, and will want to take every bit of their beloved show with the up-most seriousness.

Personally, I like SU but am not the biggest fan of UG, but I found the episode fucking hilarious. The way they poked fun of so much stuff just threw me to the floor. I enjoyed it and am glad I didn't follow the stuck-up end of the SU fandom and snub the episode.

My favorite part was when the ship with Lars and Sadie got shot down with UG's head; that was absolutely glorious.
And don't get me started on Gus' "gemsona". The whole episode was priceless.
