Just look at the related tags omg. Just because they showed the Uncle Grandpa characters in dresses.

When it comes to MLP fandom, they are. These people make me miss the LOLRANDUM types. At least they never wanted to ruin everyone else's fun.
Even MLP fans on 4chan don't want to push the obnoxious fans out of their fandom and realize that they can't force them not to watch. Tumblr tries to get people they don't like not to watch shows they do.

Ngh, I loathe that term, Transmisogyny.
It's a fucking weasel word. It's just an excuse to exclude trans men and pretend they're not being blatantly transphobic.

I think that crossover airs/aired today actually...

Sometimes I can't stand people and their obsessions with modern cartoons like Adventure Time, MLP:FiM, and Steven Universe. They act like those shows are the greatest pieces of entertainment ever made when in reality, they are just cartoons. Maybe they're nicely written and have good humor, but still, they're cartoons.

Just going through the first two pages of this thread makes me want to declare this fandom to be more rabid than bronies, and THAT is saying something.

Última edición:
People sperging out on shit like this is why adults who watch cartoons are mocked and why we can't have nice things. Like mature cartoons for adults. Why should people take cartoons seriously and consider the medium for adults as well when the adults who like cartoons act like fucking children?

I'm surprised we didn't have this thread sooner. I love SU- it's basically a magical girl show but starring the comic relief sidekick- but damn if tumblr doesn't fuck with it.

They do this all the time with just about everything, too. Don't even remotely talk shit about Sailor Moon or Madoka, those shows are perfect little slices of empowerment and Avatar The Last Airbender is a flawless show with nothing wrong with it and is the pinnacle of Asian-inspired fantasy. I'm not too surprised they made the hop from AT, since it's fairly similar to the early seasons of that (just replace the roleplaying and fantasy allusions with magical girls and animu).

I maintain that I want sit an SJW down and have them watch the filmography of Ralph Bakshi. Mainly to see how they'd react to Coonskin.

Why are they getting all up on Tolkien business? Tolkien's view wasn't that far from his time. Why expect political correctness? What did they even do?
There was a really, really brief surge in Tolkien on tumblr. Probably because of the Hobbit movies. Some of them were obnoxious SJWs, most it seems were artfags of varying degrees of talent.

It died in like a minute for more Dragon Age wank, IIRC.

These people were probably those 12 year olds who only watched LOTR because of Legolas and never went past that.
For some reason, this kinda reminds me of those people who want to mod skyrim to get rid of super natural elements like Daedra and just make it even more generic souless "fantasy".
how do you make that without a soul soulless? :^)

I actually see people like this complain that cartoons aren't taken seriously as a medium. Not even kidding. It's not even just fans, it is creators who make cartoons "for children" that really heavily pander to adults and wonder why they're not taken seriously. It doesn't help that if you don't come from a single specific animation school your dreams as a creator are basically fucked.

I still love the proto-SJW scene from Fritz the Cat.

Agreed. The Western Cartoon fandoms are really becoming overly entitled for adult references. Not every cartoon needs to cater to adults 100%, especially if said cartoon is aimed for children.
The reason most kids shows and movies have adult jokes in them (that almost always fly over kids' heads) is for the parents that have to sit there and watch it with them. As we've all already seen, these people don't understand that.

The Tiny Toons fandom started this downward spiral.

It just keeps on getting worse.
Oh Jesus I forgot all about that.

Long ago some website talked about how they had to stop the show because of freaky fans and one in particular who sent a certain voice actor really vulgar shit in the mail. It had sources and everything too. But I can't find it and it's long since gone in the sea of The Interwebz.

You are thinking of the infamous Dennis Falk. I want to say that what he did isn't possible in the modern day and I really knock on wood with that statement.

So far I've seen a lot of people questioning the creator's choice to draw porn of other established cartoon characters, and as someone who works in the animation industry, I can confirm that nobody gives a shit about that kind of thing.

I mean, exercise judgment on when it's appropriate to share, of course. But seriously, nobody in the workplace cares if you have a deep, dark past full of hardcore yaois.

Humans have been drawing dicks since the time they discovered drawing was a thing that could be done. Animators aren't any different from the rest of you!

Oh yeah, I remember reading about that whole Tiny Toon fiasco.

I think I read that one of the last episodes had a nerdy guy who complained a lot and obsessed over "Not Pepe Le Pew". (I don't remember her name)Basically poking fun at the show's weirder part of the fan base.

Could somebody who actually watches the show fill me in regarding the supposed lesbo relationship amongst the characters?

Is it really as explicit or important as the fandom is making it out to be?

I think it was Lauren Faust who said that the best way to make a kid's show was to make one that the parents would want to watch too.

Presuming that they're referring to this video:

then yeah. One of the animators or whatever even confirmed that it's a romantic relationship.

I don't watch the show, but I like the video a lot.
