I liked the SH2 remake

I mean what can you even say at this point.

RE remakes are inconsistent as shit but at least they’re moving the story forward with some actors who aren't bad.

SH2 remake is completely pointless. They just remade it because RE2 and 3 (and soon Silent Hill 3) needed to be remade

I played the original concurrently with the remake and it's not as good as people claim, but then I was always more of a Silent Hill 1 fan and never understood the constant glazing the second game gets. Anyway, Cronos is a good game so Bloober Team is capable of making a decent Star Trek entry. Whether or not they will succeed in doing this remains to be seen.

Silent Hill 1 was my first one too. I think it comes down to preference because the Alessa games and the Pyramid Head games don’t really mesh. They’re almost two different series with similar mechanics.

I’ll give the original its due, that game is scarier than any game put out today.

Bloober Team Trek game will probably be thoroughly okay. No subtlety or anything interesting, but I'm not really optimistic about most devs these days.

Oh wow. It's an edit of that Gundam X screenshot with Dr. Techs. Neat.

HE’S GONNA RUB YOUR STOMACH AND TELL YOU ‘THE NEEDS OF THE PLENTY OUTWEIGH THE KNEES OF YOU’ ! TRIBBLES ARE GONNA START NESTING IN YOUR FAT FOLDS!
I wonder if Adam is into fatty photography too. Might explain why he and Terry divorced.

Fuck you all

I loved the The Outrageous Okona, it's one of my favorite TNG episodes.

edit: Why?

1. It's light hearted - not everything needs to be All Good Things
2. It's got low stakes
3. It's got Terri Hatcher when she was smoking hawt
4. It's funny, great lines and Picard gets annoyed because he's boring.
5. It's charming, the love hidden love story is sweet.
6. It's got a happy ending that makes you smile.
7. Bill Campell is perfect as Okona. He's a perfect lovable rogue.
8. Fuck you that why.

It's a solid episode of TNG and you get to see young Teri Hatcher.
Apparently Teri had like an arc in "The Outrageous Okona." They cut most of it, and she made them take her name out of the credits.

Here's what somebody needs to do, go to one of those nerd cons, wait in line for Teri's autograph, and when you finally get up there you go "did they cut all your scenes in 'The Outrageous Okona' because you were being a huge pain in the ass the whole time?"

That video would do more numbers than the actual episode.

Speaking of the 80s, though

Still would.

You just gotta put in the effort, Fatzia is probably gonna go out due to a heart attack and then you get a shot at Ezri later. Even if she doesn't, just put locks on the replicator and get some space Ozempic.

TNG could have actually used more fun, low stakes episodes like it. Not everything has to be a super dramatic and dangerous problem.

Yah I agree. Especially in the later seasons. TNG forgot that Trek is not just about life or death, you need fun stuff in there to break the building tension. I blame Stewart; who wanted more gravitas scenes for Picard to gratify his actor's ego.

Shatner never balked at silly stuff; from wrestling with a rubber suited dinosaur to getting dunked on by tribbles. He took it all in good fun and worked the scene. Sometimes literally.

And he loved the Tribbles episode, it's was one of his favorites. He said "I liked that it made Kirk less perfect. In that episode Kirk has silly things happening all around him and he's just powerless to stop any of it."

I understand why people got fed up with Burnham breaking down and sobbing every other episode (Martin-Green’s talented at crying so Kurtzman just made her do it every week. Pro wrestling logic where they have her use the finisher every match because it’s easier than booking new matches.)

But I can understand the reticence around low-stakes episodes. When I think low-stakes I don’t think of "The Trouble with Tribbles." I think of bimbofied Quark...

Lwaxana walking around going Jean-Luc my pussy is on fire! Come pull it out with your bald head!

Risa episodes. Just play Haddaway over the whole thing.

Janeway trying to fuck her husbando in The Sims.

You know what else is low-effort, a little kid shows up and immediately becomes a mini-me of one of the main characters, right down to wearing the same outfits. Number one set course for the nearest juice box, and engage!

One has to wonder if that difference in attitude is why Shatner is still vibrant and active while Stewart sounds like he's an inch away from death.

I was nine years old and the second that unwashed foreskin popped up on the viewcreen I was like "alright, pack it up, the show's dead." We've seen this shit a million times on TNG. Some greasy comedy alien with one joke and they stretch it out.

And it's such a waste because Ethan Phillips is actually a good actor. They literally only let him talk to children or Kes. But I repeat myself OOHHHHH.Ver archivo adjunto 9027135
I'd rather watch Neelix being annoying, talk about his shitty cooking or creeping up on Kes than Chakotay doing his indian ACHEEKAMOYE SPIRIT OF MY ANCESTORS bullshit.
People say Threshold is a bad episode...niggers, have you ever seen "Tattoo"?

Chakotay is the worst character on the show.
