The entire artstyle seems weirdly off. Couldn't they just improve the graphics of the 3ds version?
That would make it harder to justify paying for this demake that will make it harder for future generations to learn about the OG game, as it's blatantly called Star Fox instead of Star Fox '26.
And yeah, it's blatantly a low-priority effort with some censorship because you can have genocide but not racism, even fantasy one, in 2026...
Do they have the same five people voicing everything nowadays? It's always so amusing to me how even older/gruffer characters sound like a clear cut 20yo forcing their throat.
Like this. Rob doesn't even have a robotic voice because why bother, I guess. Modern devs cannot into subtlety as well. Remember that apparition of James at the end? It's naturally here as well, but his voice has a ghost echo to tell you that yes, he's totally an apparition in case it wasn't clear, can't have ambiguity in current year.
I don't remember anything in the true ending of SF64. Probably a Prime 3 moment ala Sylux.
Is Katt's ship still pink or did they desaturate it like her fur? Might just be that since Zoness is in the hard route
Probably this, haven't watched a playthrough with that route yet but it's probably her since it's a low-effort remake. I could be convinced if it was Krystal, but there's no way to justify her barring an odd cameo somewhere.
I'll be surprised if they keep this horrid hyper-realistic style for future games, as the SFox movies/shows will most certainly NOT use it since the animal bodies make it harder to animate compared to a regular human-like body, like MGalaxy's Fox does.
EDIT:
That was fast.
Enjoy paying 30+ bucks for a 3-4 hours game, kek.
