And yet, somehow, the wiki still exists. The entire Star Fox lore is literally a few random dev comments and like two manuals.
In-universe there was an 8 year gap between 64 and Adventures. Kind for weirdly long time, but it's true. Fox is canonically 26 in Adventures, and Krystal is 19. Assault is a year later, so Fox is 27 and Krystal is 20. So technically, Krystal would've been 11 during the events of 64.I think Nintendo is adjusting the timeline a bit with the '26 release, as Fox is 18 once again, brash and eager to prove himself. I don't recall being such a time gap between the first game and Adventures, but either way it doesn't matter here: Krystal will show up even if it's barely a cameo, as she's too famous to be ignored.
Please don't dox my first name like that, thanks.Nobody gives a flying fuck about Star Fox lore
There's more autism in a single page of a fandom wiki than there is the entire Western hemisphere. It's comforting, in a sort of backwards way.And yet, somehow, the wiki still exists.
Right. A big long gap, probably because SF2 was meant to happen between 64 and Adv. No wonder Fox is 30 something in Command, and how many of the endings are all about how the team is feeling too old for this shit. For what's worth, SF is a franchise where characters do age. I'm not sure if the reboot will keep that in mind, considering that there's an interest to make franchises eternal.In-universe there was an 8 year gap between 64 and Adventures. I really wonder how the people believe that Krystal's existence as character somehow single handedly caused all the problems in the Star Fox games she appeared in and don't think that she was often handled meh because the games were messy in the first place. (Particularly Adventures and Command, Assault was perfectly fine.)

Also because they don't have to when FAST already exists and does exactly that.No new F-Zero though, because Nintendo apparently don't want to do one because they can't think up a way to make it 'original' and 'unique'
Personally, if I had a Star Fox series or OVA?64, Adventures and Assault would make for a good movie trilogy.
First season is 12 episodes and covers 64 but it would be what I consider to be the true route and I don't want to derail the thread with that particular discussion, then Adventures and Assault can be collated into one 24 episode season, and then the OVA would be a prequel following James. Then maybe Command but I dislike that game to the point that I genuinely think it's better to drop it entirely since you'd have to rewrite it to the point it'd barely even be Command anymore and even then I hate the Anglars.Personally, if I had a Star Fox series or OVA?
1/64/Zero, 2, Adventures, Assault, then Command but heavily rewritten.
Command in general is The Game That Doesn't Need To Exist.Yeah going back through all of that, Krystal having anything to say about Andross and his backstory doesnt make a lick of sense. The writers were smoking crack
Same reason why gooners obsess with their particular woman of choice instead of browsing porn; They don't want a replacement. Also because they don't have to when FAST already exists and does exactly that.
I mean, I get the complaint, but what exactly makes this not a valid replacement for F-Zero?

It is really bizzare since in Adventure's manual it's heavily implied Andross nuked Krystal's homeworld and in the actual plot she is shocked to see him before he traps her in the crystal and tries to immediately kill him after she gets out.Yeah going back through all of that, Krystal having anything to say about Andross and his backstory doesnt make a lick of sense. The issue with Command is that, outside of being badly written, the entire conflict just feels lame on a conceptual level. I mean the Anglars were created by Andross and are basically the exactly same shit as him and his goons but now fish.First season is 12 episodes and covers 64 but it would be what I consider to be the true route and I don't want to derail the thread with that particular discussion, then Adventures and Assault can be collated into one 24 episode season, and then the OVA would be a prequel following James. Krystal was hanging out with Star Wolf for a while before that scene, so I think the idea is that she was told all this by them.Yeah going back through all of that, Krystal having anything to say about Andross and his backstory doesnt make a lick of sense. The writers were smoking crack
But still after all the stuff that is implied and seen in Adventures it feels like a complete 180 turn out of nowhere. And Krystal hanging around with Star Wolf because of soap opera drama is it's own plothole.Krystal was hanging out with Star Wolf for a while before that scene, so I think the idea is that she was told all this by them.
This game is slow and Wipeout/Redout like compared to F-Zero. None of the incredible music and absolutely nutso speed of OG or X. Dont see why people glaze it.Also because they don't have to when FAST already exists and does exactly that.

Yeah and that's exactly my issue with it too. You can rewrite the dialogue and missions and characters all you want but the central pillar of the plot, that being the conflict with the Anglars, is still trite. It would be really nice to see a Star Fox game post Assault that didn't need to just introduce yet another faction of big dumb monsters who wage total war in the Lylat system. Something smaller and smarter, please. The issue with Command is that, outside of being badly written, the entire conflict just feels lame on a conceptual level. I mean the Anglars were created by Andross and are basically the exactly same shit as him and his goons but now fish.
After the Aparoids they are just underwhelming, combined with the fact even the devs are being ambiguous about Command's canocity I have to say that if you ask me the SF64 timeline just ended with the tunnel war in Assault.
In all fairness Andross was believed to be dead at that point in the timeline. It is really bizzare since in Adventure's manual it's heavily implied Andross nuked Krystal's homeworld and in the actual plot she is shocked to see him before he traps her in the crystal and tries to immediately kill him after she gets out.
Krystal hanging out with Star Wolf could have been done well but once again the writing in Command just shits the bed on what could have been a half-way decent plot point were it not played for melodrama. But still after all the stuff that is implied and seen in Adventures it feels like a complete 180 turn out of nowhere. And Krystal hanging around with Star Wolf because of soap opera drama is it's own plothole.
I mean yeah and we don't need to discuss this to the death because the devs of both games probably never even thought much about any of this this, but I just think it's funny that the Command devs wrote Krystal simping for the guy that she previously hated because he genocided her planet and used her as battery just because they wanted to make her a bitch. In all fairness Andross was believed to be dead at that point in the timeline.
To do that some "new" content and downtime moments would help. It's a sci-fi setting with portal-based FTL that we know very little about beyond the basics. Then again Nintendo considers plot an afterthought, and Illumination's movies followed the games' plot for the most part, no matter how thin it is.irst season is 12 episodes and covers 64 but it would be what I consider to be the true route and I don't want to derail the thread with that particular discussion, then Adventures and Assault can be collated into one 24 episode season, and then the OVA would be a prequel following James.
Lol, so that's why she was such a hoe. Truly, Command isApparently one of the main devs of Command disliked Krystal which is seemingly the reason why she is so badly written, so yeah, while it is really up to debate if a better story could have possibly saved the game it is funnily enough not that far fetched to say that Krystal hate was one nail in the coffin of the 64 timeline.
I thought they were a separate species that happened to live in the toxic seas, I don't recall Andross creating them. Then again, for Command I only watched a LP so maybe it was explained in another route.I mean the Anglars were created by Andross and are basically the exactly same shit as him and his goons but now fish.
Interdasting. Who will be the final enemy? Nintendo's Lawyers?but even then they aren't supposed to be the final antagonists.)
