As i was saying stand up comedy was always about the same dogshit being an e-celeb is about only now we don't need clubs because you can just see that funny guy's tweets instead. Its also why guys who couldn't hack it as stand ups are making more money now than they would starring on some NBC sitcom. You think the Tonight Show would allow Dave Smith to chant "white power" to his thousands of fans before introducing tonight's guests Ryan Dawson and Joshua Moon?

The only good part about Kim Congdon is that she looks enough like Vienna Black that you can jerk off to her and imagine she's cucking luis. she also proves you can be 40+ as a rican and still not hit the wall.

I guarantee they will be 10x worse than anyone who has achieved any sort of recognition and because they're so desperate they'll pretty much accept you onto any social media where they'll post absolutely everything about their lives.

Oswalt singing a love song to Felicia Day in the Netflix MST3K reboot is the apex of Millenial comedy. Not that it's the least bit funny, but it truly belongs to anyone who found Revenge of the Nerds emotionally rewarding.

I'm probably one of the biggest mystery science fans ever, but watching that reboot for the first time on Netflix so thoroughly turned me off in about 15 mins, that I've never watched another minute of it again. It was so below average in every way. I was skeptical about a reboot, but I was a bit optimistic, thinking it could be halfway decent. After all, it's about the jokes, not the cutscenes (though the old show had some pretty hilarious cutscenes once in awhile). But, it just did not click with me at all. I wish they never decided to reboot the series in the first place.

like i said somewhere on this site, women comedians are better off being strippers in some midwest town instead, if Chrissie was 2 decades younger and didn't want to disappoint her parents who are dying in some retirement home she would have done it by now, she has enough stripper friends. its too bad she's gotten so famous (relatively) for her Q stuff. pandering to Q probably fucked her in some ways, but overall shes doing better than she was 5 years ago, pre-podcasts she was barely an open micer with a weird amount of perversion and sex jokes even for a woman comedian.

I will say Random is amazing just for being the only comedian to call out Judd Apatow and other famous comics for being dogshit. Trevor Noah straight up said any comedian that performs at the Stand is a nazi, and every NYC comedian that performed at the Stand just let him do it. they allowed the Creek&Cave to get destroyed by bad press too. Random has done more for the comedy community than anyone the past decade, and he's just an open micer.

He's already been mentioned in this thread but I just want to reiterate Frankie Boyle. While he isn't really that much of a lolcow, he is definitely on the edge, as like most comedians, his hypocrisy, smugness and (socially acceptable) edginess shows that his cool stage persona isn't just a persona, and he is as much of a twat as he seems. He's very much part of the media backed group of British neolib comedians and celebrities that make their beliefs, and the people that hold them, sound and feel much smarter than they are by being snarky and smug.

Another is Nish Kumar, chosen because of that one time where he got booed off stage at a charity event by being unfunny. He shows how these kinds of people react when they suddenly realise that not everyone either holds their views or is too afraid to say otherwise.

Its also why Patrice is the rorschach of comedy. he was the only one on the planet who's integrity overrid their common sense and led to him doing the taboo shit everyone wants to do but won't. Namely calling out comedians for their hack material, he burned every bridge and despite every chance given he never sold out. Bill Burr might be the comedian but Patrice is the guy truely inspiring people way after he died.

It's kind of odd that standup comedy started to suck around the time Patrice O'Neil died. Coincidence?
