STALKER 2 killed my PC :( - As far as I can tell it's a RAM issue

Things to remember when purchasing RAM, first is your Channel Configuration, then Speed, then CAS Timings, then Rank. Whatever your channel configuration is (dual, quad, etc...) that's always the minimum number of sticks you want to buy. For speed you want the highest your board can support, if your board has special features like XMP etc... it's up to you to decide if you want to take that into consideration or not. For CAS timings you want the lowest it can support (or that you can afford). For Rank you always want 1R, get 2R if there is a huge price difference since the speed impact will be minimal.

Once you get past Rank, the differences are so small that it doesn't matter, unless you are a total mix/max nut.

Also, how did you decide on RAM being the issue? You ran an in-depth memory test? The only reason I ask is that in many years of being in tech I have only seem RAM go bad once in a consumer system that is built with parts that aren't total shit.
