Culture SPLC: "The Alt-Right is Killing People"

After the most recent Shadily Strangler, the organizations SPLC and Right-Wing Watch are writing articles about them. Expect more to come.

Excerpt:
The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) counted over 100 people killed or injured by alleged perpetrators influenced by the so-called "alt-right" — a movement that continues to access the mainstream and reach young recruits.

On December 7, 2017, a 21-year-old white male posing as a student entered Aztec High School in rural New Mexico and began firing a handgun, killing two students before taking his own life.

At the time, the news of the shooting went largely ignored, but the online activity of the alleged killer, William Edward Atchison, bore all the hallmarks of the “alt-right”—the now infamous subculture and political movement consisting of vicious trolls, racist activists, and bitter misogynists.

But Atchison wasn’t the first to fit the profile of alt-right killer—that morbid milestone belongs to Elliot Rodger, the 22-year-old who in 2014 killed seven in Isla Vista, California, after uploading a sprawling manifesto filled with hatred of young women and interracial couples (Atchison went by “Elliot Rodger” in one of his many online personas and lauded the “supreme gentleman,” a title Rodger gave himself and has since become a meme on the alt-right).

Including Rodger’s murderous rampage there have been at least 13 alt-right related fatal episodes, leaving 43 dead and more than 60 injured (see list). Nine of the 12 incidents counted here occurred in 2017 alone, making last year the most violent year for the movement.

Expect to see some real salty bois over this.

SPLC labels Christians who have a legit concern with LGBT culture (in their text, and societal norms) as anti-LGBT. If you're that exceptional to label more than just the WBC on there (which the WBC is straight up exceptional as well), then you suck as an anti-hate org.

Same with any right wing conservative that isn't straight up Marxist at this point.

I stopped taking the SPLC seriously when they put Ben Carson on their list of white supremacists. The reason the Clayton Bigsby sketch was so funny back in the day is because it was supposed to be wildly implausible and ridiculous, to do that shit irl is embarrassing.

Dylan Roof was three years ago? Man, where does the time go?

Alt-right to me is the "proud boys" types, dudes that really don't understand conservatism or politics in general but they're angry because no one will fuck them and they have no lucrative skills so they cling onto whatever passing movement the likes of grifters like Steve Bannon concocts. In which most of these guys fit the bill. But guys like Roof and the dude with the little dick and a BMW were just full of hate and didn't have a coherent political leaning aside from "I hate niggers and women because reasons", etc. That's not a political leaning, that's just virgin rage.

"SPLC: 'The Alt-Right is Costing Us Donations'."

LOL J/K the SPLC is wrapped up in shady real estate deals they wouldn't run out of money even if every donor they have cut them off. Oh they'd squeal but they wouldn't be broke.

The SPLC is desperate for Democrat/Soros/Racial Tension funding now that the US government no longer uses them as a resource for "hate" groups.

I wonder if sponsoring 20 articles a month about how the President in the White House is a racist hate-monger didn't lend much for whatever crumbs of credibility useful idiots lap up, and didn't help them retain government contracts?

These are just 2018, they started in October 2017, so there are a whole year worth of pages of articles about "hate in the White House."

I do love "anti-hate" groups who put their racial bias and hatred on full display.

Trump's not battling poverty? Don't you know that blacks are the ones overwhelmingly in poverty?

If you stop the "war on poverty" and "include a poilcy[sic] of work requirements" for government benefits, you're anti-black.

I'll believe these types actually give two shits about poverty or black wealth disparity as soon as they stop crying about muslims from halfway across the planet and Russians on the internet for five minutes and actually lift a finger to help the thousands of homeless people that overrun all of their lefty bastion cities.

What if it just means you put the item to your left, turn to said item and is now on your right.
See? The far left is really just the alt-right if you turn far enought. Checkmate Nazis!

Lol PBs aren't alt-right.

The SPLC has been utter fucking garbage. There's no reason to listen to them, they're desperate for progtard attention. They basically define you as a hate group if you don't agree with identity politics. The organization is a useless husk of what it once was.

What was it in it's glory days? I never really heard of them until they started this kind of nonsense.

There was a proverb I heard growing up. “You can’t break off the right end of a stick because the stick you’re left with will still have a right end.”

Just as you can’t break off the right end of a stick, you can’t get rid of extremism. Used to, we had extremist hate groups like the KKK and neo nazis who were unquestionably bigoted. Today, we’re expected to believe that white supremacists are making mulatto babies and their white supremacist buddies are totally cool with it.

What was it in it's glory days? I never really heard of them until they started this kind of nonsense.

They had a lot to do with taking down the Klan and bankrupted a number of white supremacist organizations like Richard Butler's Aryan Nations outfit, which shot some dude and they helped sue it out of existence. In the subsequent time period, organized white supremacists practically don't exist at least as incorporated entities.

So they've been something of a victim of their own success, but unfortunately have reacted to that by instead broadening their operations to declaring random shit to be white supremacist.
