Another Twitter thread on South Park where people are complaining about how the 4th grade girls aren't used unless its a lesson for one of the boys or a love interest of theirs. While I do think it would be nice for the 4th grade girls to have their own personalities, why is it that you get the same people complaining about how the girls are used to be love interests for the boys, then go on to make said girl's entire personality of her being lesbian? Do these people want Trey and Matt to do more with the girls or do they just want them to randomly reveal a girl is a lesbian and not care if they do nothing with her personality wise?

Its very obvious that these people wouldn't be upset if it was Wendy and a girl crushing on her despite the fact that said girl would still have 0 personality except she's a lesbian. Just look at how these people coom over Tweek and Craig after the relationship became canon. All it is just how gay they are. They don't want the girls to have personalities except for how "queer" they are and are upset because the girls happen to be either a love interest or a plot that involves a boy.

The leak that was posted on 4chan said the final batch of episodes was supposed to end the season with Canada liberating America from Trump via invasion, bits of which was featured in the teaser and why Trey and Matt were so pissy as they had to start the season earlier than they normally do because said invasion arc required more lead time to make than if they waited until the last minute to make said episodes.

Yeah it’s crazy to see what the fanbase became. When I was a kid, it was other kids, or teens, excited we were watching something we shouldn’t.
Now it’s all adults wanting things from it they shouldn’t. I feel like a big part of that is on Matt and Trey too, because they later cultivated this fandom.

South Park supposedly is a huge evergreen hit ala Friends and Office on streaming. Very valuable and one of those properties that people will subscribe for. And Paramount+ DESPERATELY needs a long running evergreen series to anchor people in place subscriber-wise.
Hence all of the legal bullshit that happened between Trey/Matt and Paramount versus Warner-Discovery and HBO Max, with the reduced episode count and the specials. And locking down new episodes exclusively to Paramount+ for next day viewing was a huge thing. Hence why Paramount overpaid for them.

It was honestly a big mistake to make Craig and Tweek a thing. I know fujoshis were always a thing in the fandom but making it canon only fueled them and now you have the Twitter and Tumblr side of the fandom who only watch the show just to find clues as to who is queer. I keep hearing this dumb argument "Well the reason queer kids do this is due to the lack of rep in media". Ah yes, the show that has around 8 canon gay characters is totally lacking when it comes to rep. Also, I've noticed that I've never seen actual gay guys (not TIFs) being the ones wanting more rep on the show. Most of the people who want Style, Bunny, Kyman, etc to be canon are teenage girls and young women who do it so they can coom to more m/m ships. Not because they serious want more rep.

Well today's the day for the next episode's trailer to appear for tomorrow's episode. Let's see if Matt and Trey decide to make fun of Trump for...possibly putting a ceasefire to the Israel-Gaza war? Nah but like even if there's weeks Trump does try to do something good it does seem dumb of them to make fun of Trump for doing something that isn't necessarily bad. Still, I wonder if that genderless kid at the start of last episode is going to confirm a trans episode this week. If not then weird to introduce that character.

I think my main issue with this season is just how fucking lazy and obvious it is. They used to do more topics, vary things up and try new things. There was an episode where Cartman gets a Trapper Keeper that could take over the world. The next episode was about the kids putting on a musical about Helen Keller. The one after that was an adaptation of Great Expectations narrated by Malcolm McDowell. Now everything is about fucking Trump. There's more going on in the world than him, but that's all they want to talk about.
And the thing is, you just know they're not going to kill him off or anything because they know they need to keep their Trump alive in case he does something they can make an episode about next year. So we're just stuck with him until 2028.
