Yeah, lol. I'm a woman myself. I play a little bit of everything, but I have yet to find another girl who plays these games too. It's easy to find the Sims, Zelda, Skyrim, Stardew Valley ladies, who play those and nothing else.

There are for sure female fans of the series, I got into the Fromsoft games after playing Nioh and hearing it's a Souls-like constantly. Found the games fun and atmospheric, played all but Sekiro since. I even got King's Field IV because I fell in love with the soundtrack. I think generally women are already a minority in gaming, then the Souls fanbase is filled trannies and gooners which turns women off even more or makes the women fans not super vocal about it.

Also I know the feeling re other female gamers, I know a lot of women who love casual cute games like Animal Crossing etc and/or story heavy games like JRPGs or survival horror. I'm getting into my mom-to-be era in that mobile games have been my vice as of late, but usually I'm a bit of an all rounder. Currently playing through Nioh 3 after RE9 disappointed me so bad haha. I'd reccomend Nioh 2 over 3, 2 is a GOAT of a game - so fun and incredibly fun to go through with a buddy!

Deeper lore I've forgotten about.

Vamos is literally Vamos, the god of blacksmithing in the Japanese translation.
It's unverifiable but I'm pretty sure that Vamos is the Blacksmith Deity given his state of death, and his particular interests, his place of death and his disinterest in everything beyond the chaos flame.

Vamos and his environmental storytelling. I stole this from the Abyssal Archive book which I'm sure isn't perfect given Lokey's imperfect understanding of Japanese.

The skull in ash lake is not the fucking deity like the lore retard Hawkshaw tried to say. It's more likely to be a random skull Miyazaki or a designer thought was cool. But since III exists as a sequel it could be an Oni skull thanks to the Onislayer greatbow.

I totally tuned out of this video around the half way mark, feel like his challenges used to be a lot funnier and better edited but now just feel a little tired. His Top Gear DS2 one is a really good one. It is weird how inbred the youtubers are and how they all reference each other etc, I find it's the same with streamers, too. Doesn't seem endearing, just cliquey.

I used to find Zulie's videos pretty informative though I'd watch them like the Doakes memes trying to work out if they were a tranny, then that voice reveal and ugly vtuber model dropped and I had to unsub: it's only gotta be downhill from there.

Yeah it was mediocre, especially as it can be edited to 15 minutes due to simply being:
* Get invasion to grind rats for you until you get rat tail.
* Warp to rat king and join covenant.
* Grind levels and souls to buy dung and bypass 4 lords.
* Kill anything with surprisingly effective poison, including suits of empty armor.

I do recommend his Baldur's Gate 3 video since he actually does a non-cheese challenge unlike any other youtuber that just abuses items and physics.

Correction: 1 guy is crucified in the entire game. Another correction is that parrying is actually broken strong and invalidates a lot about what I said in regards to spacing, at least in the more human sized bosses. The large bosses just get cheesed with this game's version of Dark Bead. Apparently Veteran Mode speeds up enemies, which sounds miserable for the amount of animation locking there is in the game. I don't know why people claim this game is almost there. It really isn't.

IIRC it's probably just a skull that fell out out of TotG. Ash Lake used to be right below it before it was moved to its final location, the original pathway to the Great Hollow was next to where Leroy invades in the final game.

As an aside, the everlasting/stone dragon was probably the boss there before it was turned into a covenant leader. It has some unfinished attacks and plays the boss defeated audio cue when killed via cheats/debug.

Dark souls challenge runs have become really boring. If it can deal damage and a boss isn't immune to it then you can beat the game with it. Doubly so if you can cheese it with 5 buffs.

That's the funny thing about cut content like this, the original placement of cut stuff ends up being kinda obvious in hindsight. It's like random doorways that lead to nowhere in the final game, you can always assume that in some prototype version of the map that was concieved as some pathway that loops back someplace else,

They even did that as early as DeS too. The original version of Old Hero had a Nameless King-esque hairdo, his head model was reused for the statue in the Boletaria mausoleum.
