Again, no ones asking for the goddamn PS6, at this point hardware improvements might as well be blood from a stone if they want a price point cheaper than a PC, but the potential for ragebait is there.
My last PlayStation was the PS4. And someone sold me a used Pro for $150. I still use the controller for my Steamdeck since it still the best controller I used in the past 10 years.

Though, my last Playstation was PS4 and I shipped it out to a friend as a freebie with some games because I'm committed fully to PC gaming. What hope I've had for Sony to have their head out of their ass was gone when they completely fumbled the backwards compatibility of the PS2 for their PS3 systems. They redesigned the PS3 twice and still didn't have the common courtesy to have backwards capability.
So that there was a 'fuck you' to those who bothered with Sony then. Sony, you can go fuck yourself too, because I have a machine that can play PS2 games comfortably well and you hand picked PS2 games to be released and you still don't have the balls to perfect your emulation/BC in your latest consoles.
I don't need this shit about consoles locking you in with limited options, that's why I went PC, because I'm from the days where we downloaded NoCD cracks for old games. There is always a work around.
The geniuses at Sony are killing the most common reason why people prefer consoles to PC. Killing physical media is dumb, but considering Sony has been making retarded moves for a while, it doesn't shock me; they have to cut costs somehow after spending billions on Bungie only to drive Bungie into the ground. If the heads at Xbox were smart they'd capitalize on this, but since they're also braindead, I'm not holding my breath.

This will never happen because Xbox and Playstation have been trying to kill physical games for 10 years because they make more money that way (and Microsoft has been trying to kill physical media for 20 years). There's also no marketshare to be gained by doing that, Xbox and Playstation game sales have been 80% digital for years. They would only get the people who care enough about game discs to switch platform, that don't already have an Xbox, would not have already switched because Playstation pissed them off, and are willing to buy Xbox games. There's also the question of whether Xbox will even make an Xbox 5.
