the nixxes ports run terrible for what are ostensibly ps4 games, people just glaze them because they get above 60fps where as unreal engine would be 30fps

The biggest sin with the ports is not just running like shit on launch. Is the complete abandonment of even fixing them. I am pretty certain Spiderman 2 still has weird performance issues and Returnal has a known memory leak issue that Housemarque decided they were never going to fix. Why would anyone buy a PS5 title on PC knowing there is little to no chance that any issues at launch will get addressed?

I believe Sony claimed a lack of sales on PC as the reason they pulled out. Now dear user I ask you: What were they expecting?
Looking past their lack of games, their PC ports were notoriously rushed dogshit with every release. Almost every timed exclusive game that was released was a trainwreck and they did fuck all to advertise them. Most of these games that got released on PC were 2 years old and nobody gave a fuck about them, hell nobody gave a fuck about them when they were originally released. Even logistically speaking there is literally zero reason for anyone with even a low tier rig to own a console or buy their games when they don't run. Even looking at their catalogue now the only game I could see myself getting is Ghost of Tsushima when it goes like 50% off. Sony wanted to blame those dastardly PC players but the sad reality is that no-one gives a fuck about their faggotslop games, not even PS5 owners.

Gran Turismo 7 not getting a PC port may have been a Sony misplay to fail to capitalize on the 2023 Forza Motorsport's disastrous launch (which lead to Turn 10 being demoted to being a Forza Horizon support studio). Forza Motorsport 7 also had a terrible launch too. And even if GT7 did get a PC Port just to do that, the game is still a shell of itself compared to past GT games.

Maybe that was part of why Kaz didn't make a Gran Turismo 7 PC Port, because GT7 is a live service game and they would also have to update it for PC too.

Also yea I forgot to mention this but every PC port just seemed abandoned after like 2 updates if they even had any at all.

What were they expecting?
I imagine they looked at how the Japanese AA/AAA games that were PS/Console exclusive as late as the PS2/3 took off on PC and wanted that too.
Yakuza, Monster Hunter, Resident Evil and Final Fantasy all have a pretty good time on Steam and co. unless they really fuck up the port. And even then i imagine they still sell enough copies to make back the cost.
Hell, if even Microslop is able to sell the few Xbox games left at this point well enough on PC (including back when they forced people to use the abysmal Windows Store) then it should be a piece of cake for Sony to sell their "premium library of critically acclaimed masterpieces", right?

Only problem is that Sony just kinda forgot that those games sell well because they are actually fun to play instead of magically selling on their own because there is nothing else to buy for your 700$ next gen paperweight.

Fucking lul. I'm seeing Sony Fanboys over on my actual Socials trying to blame the Couch Co-Op PSN Requirement on "needing to link to a Microsoft account". They're full stop just trying to pin this all on Microsoft.

It's funny as hell seeing that level of coping being told to fuck off.
Tell them that the reason why Microsoft is even in the console business to begin with is because Sony was bragging that the PS2 was more powerful than any computer out on the market.
