Hermiston is a pretty small city in a rural part of Oregon. Is there something in the water there to make autism-friendly screenings necessary? Also I live in a big city and I've never heard of these screenings before. But to be fair I don't go to the movies very often.

Ya know its been almost a year since the trailer came out and im still 1000% hyped for this shit, even though I was genuinely disappointed they got rid of the glorious original nightmare design, enough for me to legit consider forcing my to friend pretend hes autistic and im his tard wrangler so I have a respectable excuse to go see it opening week

I mean this is probably the only cinematic event on the horizon that guarantees my enjoyment, even if it is entirely down to meta humour and unintentionally hilarious cringe, and I truly hope this will be another example of the movie living up to and even exceeding the memes and shitposting around it like Joker was last year

I think it steams from the fact these types of movies are usually shit (with Detective Pikachu being an exception.)
Also it's a product from the Sonic franchise which doesn't guarantee a great product.
It's either gonna suck or be painfully mediocre.

The human partner, he's gonna have a subplot it's obvious and the clips generally are the played out
"fictional character comes to our world hijinks ensue" type plot.
Jim Carey is the only positive I can think of.
But, I guess we'll just have to wait and see to confirm.

it got a nice 70% score of rotten tomatoes, which is far more than I would have betted on.

seems like the cute kids movie I was expecting it to be, not some cinematic masterpiece, but a movie that would make little Brian that plays sonic dash on his smartphone go nuts, while giving dad some good old Jim Carrey going ham as we don't see for years and some standard superhero movie action scenes.

if I were a kid I would like that more than Minions tbh.
