The train of thoughts a little odd because it never considers that African Americans are inevitably a product of multiple people's (including the odd horny slave owner) so the idea of one country being'lost' to them is absurd nor does he consider they would not exist in the first place. He's also pretty derrogative of African American as a legitimate ethnic group by damning it with faint praise. Also he openly admits 'white' americans don't really exist so his final paragraph is irrelivant.
