It might be from Yakitate Japan, there was an omake thing where they flipped from a Japanese kid who wants to make western-style bread to an American kid who wants to make sushi rice, which his grandpa is opposed to because he doesn't like Japan.

Me and a few girlfriends got on discord to watch Diabolik Lovers (in english dub) and that was an absolute trip. We stopped just before shit went off the rails where Cordelia takes over Yui's body and is betrayed by her brother-in-law/lover Richter. None of what I said makes sense, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Second season sucks ass though, the whole adam and eve plot is garbage.
