There's an OVA adaptation of the game Corpse Party: Blood Covered. It's a bit over the top in all the blood and deaths, camera angles make it more narmy than actually scary, etc. A downside is that if you want to make sense of it you need prior knowledge of the game. I found it both cringey and funny, but maybe I'm just weird.

It's called "Corpse Party Tortured Souls."

Aw, I didn't think the OVA was that bad. But I did hate the changes (especially the ending) and the random panty shots. The art style kinda irks me too.
I thought it was pretty bad. Not in a OH GOD MY EYES way, but it's still bad. It just happens to be funny to me. The story kinda jumped around, which loses points with me. I agree that the changes were unnecessary, though, and oh yes. The random panty shots. While they showed up in the reboot they weren't, y'know, taking center stage, at least in my opinion. And what about that random camera thing? That's part of what made it more humorous than scary.
Now, that said, the reboot did have some issues with its story as well. (Closed spaces feel unnecessary, especially with the place being bigger this time around... and the changes in personality, like Naomi for example. I like PC-98 Naomi better than BloodCovered Naomi.) Though that's a whole 'nother topic..

Baka and Test definitely falls into this category it has every shit anime cliche you can name yet at the same time not completely unbearable.

It's kinda like the old CatDog saying of stinky + stinky = not stinky.

Eh, some parts were comical, yeah. But I thought the creepy factor was played pretty well for the most part.
I'm also glad that Kizami was finally able to kill Yuka.
I don't know what you're talking about concerning the camera. Could you elaborate?

Fucking yes. Maybe I'm terrible, but... she's so annoying.

The camera, every time a strange noise occurred, would suddenly tilt to the side.
Several of the camera angles in general were bad as well.
Atmosphere is an important part of horror, and whatever they were doing with the camera, in my opinion, hurt that.

Does Metal Fight Beyblade count? I've only seen the dub, but I doubt the original Japanese version is much better, because it's still a show about magical spinning tops.

Even though it was animated by Koreans and is based on an American comic, can I give an honorable mention to LadyDeath? Bad animation, bad voice acting, it feels like a really bad attempt at like, making a Heavy Metal like cartoon. I've heard the comics it is based on are actually ALOT better, and that it isn't an accurate representation of them. I got the DVD for 3 bucks at an anime convention.

The 1970s Captain Harlock dub. Not to be confused with the 1980s dub, this 70s one was 2 Vhs tapes that in total covered 4 episodes. It super awkward and hilarious, I haven't been able to find these dubbed eps online, but I have seen the tapes on Ebay for super cheap, so if you have a working VHS player, get those. This company was called Ziv I think, not to be confused with Viz.

I heard that the original director (the guy who brought Macross to the US and renamed it Robotech) was booted off and replaced by someone who had no idea how animation works.

In fact, it's pretty telling when even he hates the final result.

I love Bubblegum Crisis.

Sure, its girly and all, but its freaking 80s to the core.

And I'm all about that.

Ocean dub DBZ. Its what introduced me to DBZ as a wee spergling and looking back I just cringe at half of it but...i love it nonetheless
Hah, yeah. I have the Ocean dub of The Tree of Might somewhere on VHS, and when you compare it to Funimation's, it's just cringeworthy. I really don't understand why so many prefer it over Funimation.

Ninja Robots, aka the dub of Ninja Senshi Tobikage. This dub is bad on a fantastic level, I watched the whole series, but be warned, only the 1st 20 eps or so of the Dub are online, if you want to finish the series, you'll have to watch the rest subbed. The dub is great, a lot of the voice actors sound like they are reading the lines off a script for the 1st time.

Oh don't worry, the eps are in better video quality then this opening. I just picked this vid cuz I wanted to show the opening.

Any anime knockoff by Joseph Lai and Godfrey Ho for that matter. Grab a beer and a friend, one of their movies, riff away and you'll never be bored for the rest of the day.

I really love the horrors of moe anime comedy of the early 2000s. Di-Gi Charat and its spinoff "Leave it to Piyoko", especially, since they're shows based on store mascots, are sloppily drawn, look rushed as hell, and seem stupid at first, but there are a few hidden gems if you hang in there. The episodes are short and pretty random. Not sure if you can see this link, but here's one of my favorite episodes:

http://www.nicozon.net/watch/sm20165126

The first episode of Piyoko cracks me up, but I can't really explain why, and I can't even find a good sample of it to post here.

I used to love Nurse Witch Komugi, too. Shameless fan service, super-cutesy moe, more silly random daily life stuff - but during that awkward time when slice of life mostly consisted of crazy random comedy-based stuff. Also - HARUKO MOMOI!!!! XD

It's all pretty harmless and doesn't take itself seriously at all, but definitely the kind of thing you're either really into or hate. :)

Zetsuai Bronze is essentially the yaoi version of The Room. I'm not even kidding. Melodramatic bullshit that makes absolutely no sense, subplots that go nowhere, bad animation (including possibly the mothers of all yaoi hands), chunky blood that looks like tomato paste, and just... you have to watch it to truly understand how gloriously awful it is. Which I highly recommend, especially since the entire thing is on Youtube.

Unlike The Room, there are people who think it's legitimately a good series. Seriously, check out the Youtube comments for it :cryblood:

Kampfer is terrible in every regard and yet, I love it anyway. It's shit, and generic shit no less, but there's an odd sense of charm to how stupid it is.

And if what I've read of the manga is any sign, Attack on Titan is probably similar.

Just to bring up Space Thunder Kids again, here is one scene to watch with friends.

Ocean Dub? Try the Big Green dub.

or if you want something even worse, the Malaysian dub.

I haven't seen all of that show, but I always got the idea that they kinda had those cliches intentionally to make fun of them. I'm not sure though. Sometimes it's hard to tell parody and really bad writing apart with anime.

How Japanese People See Americans.

Anyone know where this is from? It seems to be so bad it's good...

I dont know how I ended in this dead thread but now I want to know what the fuck that video it was but yt baaaaleted it due to "hate speech" which can mean literally anything these days
