I thought that movie was gonna be released earlier. If so, then what took them so long? Was it the bad reception it got?
It's just like how they blame the Trump win on "misogyny" and "racism", rather then the USA being on a heading to crazy.

Filming was delayed due to COVID, and doesn't appear to have started before March 2022. There was some filming going on as late as June 2024.
They changed the plans for the dwarfs repeatedly before settling on shitty CGI. That late decision would have delayed the release on its own.
Both Zegler and Gadot have been surrounded by controversy so they may have finally decided to bury the film on a random weekend in March, instead of doing the obvious and premiering around Christmas like the 1937 film.

What disappoints me is that Zegler has a nice voice just not as Snow White.
I watched maybe 5 minutes of a camrip and came to the conclusion the extra songs sound like Lin Manuel Miranda leftovers.

The costumes trying to make the film look like the animated original version look very cheap. They make sense for the animated version because it was made in 1937 and tried the most to be appealing for the audience of the time, but that's not a proper costume for the supposed era:

The original Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is obviously better, but I still liked the remake
