I have a few artists on Tumblr I wrote down in my notes a few months back in the case I made an account here and/or just needed a laugh. One really confuses me.

All outfit fixing does is make some of these artist come off as two things: tards that manage to get upset over an image and jackasses trying hard to piss off some other jackasses.

These people are usually extremely insecure about the fact that they look like an obese mountain of melted, hairless pug dogs. They don't like seeing characters they like or relate to have any sort of sex appeal because they have none and feel like all women should have none.

Tbh I wouldn't mind this so much, in fact I'd probably like it quite a lot if the artist wasnt so focused on making them unique / ugly(?). I get what they were going though, they just need to...tone it down lol. Too many details, not enough space basically.

Yeah I dig the vibe happening, it's at least interesting. I have the feeling these are just more quick concept and idea doodles, but I haven't seen their full work. The MSpaint jagged lines don't help with reading whats going on.

Sadly, the artist's other works aren't much better. Their art range from barely passable to messy and borderline illegible. With hideous and eye-bleeding color schemes to boot.

That said, the artist definitely has potential. If they would cut back a lot of unnecessary lines and used more eye-pleasing and harmonious color schemes, then their artwork would be less painful to look at.

What a shame. Maybe they'll grow out of it, but then again I haven't seen any tumblr artists that really get into the SJW stuff actually improve. They tend to regress or stay the same, but change styles to give the illusion of progress.

IIRC, the artist's currently around 19 years old. So there's still room for improvement.

Also, I've edited my previous post to include a sample of their work. You can decide for yourself whether or not there's potential.

There definitely is. The movement and general composition overall is pretty good. She just needs to work on learning to edit herself and maybe do lineart that isn't MSPaint.

I think she just doesn't know how to pick the colors. Her art in clearly inspired by art eras of yore (particularly in the horror genres), which is popular right now, think The Toxic Avenger comic books. Full of horrendous color schemes and sometimes questionably overdone artwork.

Why is everything to these people trans this and trans that? How are these characters trans or gay in anyway? Although I don't mind Lydia being a lesbian (even tho she's not) cause one my favorite OOTP is Lydia and Wednesday Addams

They aren't, but Tumblr makes them that way because fictional characters somehow being in any way tangentially related to their sexuality/identity makes them feel less insecure.
Gotta say, life must be pretty empty when someone's at the point when they need a cartoon character to validate their existence.
