DreamWorks finally released the trailer and cast announcement for Shrek 5.

The classic cast of Mike Meyers, Cameron Diaz, and Eddie Murphy are returning with Zendaya as the daughter (supposedly Felicia?). The art style has notably changed and this has inspired a lot of discussion online.

Also Shrek's two sons happen to be completely absent from the trailer, as if they were forgotten about. What's the deal with that?

What do you all think about Shrek 5 so far?

Animation aside.

I'm starting to really feel Zendaya fatigue, stop putting that ambiguosly dubious negrette into anything, she's not that good of an actress.

There was a Shrek 4? Oh... OK. Zendaya, who the hell is that? :story:

That intro you posted almost seems like a shitpost (the mirror stuff), look at this:

This looks like something a fat american teen addicted to Fortnite and Doritos made in his spare time, between his Roblox & Garry's Mod sessions while listening to Moistcritikal on the background.

The art style is so bad, Felicia looks like her head got caved in to be quite honest and I can almost guarantee the plot will be something stupid like "rebellious daughter wants to explore the world and find herself, Shrek is overprotective and doesn't want to let her go, they fight bla bla bla there's a shitty resolution with their relationship."

Shrek is once again on the run because rumors are spreading that he has a cult where he forces underage children to resite "Shrek is love Shrek is life" before violently raping them. Now he must clear his name as he tries to keep his family in the dark. He will be helped by his old friends donkey, puss n boots and some new friends including death who is trying to clear his name of being a homesexual porn star who eats people whole and a brand new friend

the only one who can clear there names has sadly died of his alcohol addiction but with death on there side there may be a way.

In all honesty, I can kind of see what they were doing with the TikTok looking stuff in the mirror, as that's arguably what this whole franchise has been doing since its beginnings, making fun of what was popular at the time (10 years late though)...but why couldn't they have just stuck to the artstyle of Puss in Boots: The Last Wish instead of this ugly cartoony artstyle they're going for here, if they really needed to redesign the characters?
