Shows were the Fanbase Overexaggerate the "Dark n Deep" Stuff - Kirby Le Lovecraft Monster n Shiiet

Any show that's for children/manchildren that they try to pretend it's dark and mature because it had a "scary" scene, by children standards, rips off Madoka Magica, or is a le metaphor for abuse. But 90% of the time the show is just goofy adventures for literal kids

Spec Ops: The Line, despite it being a video game, also fits too. Some people even made comparisons with Madoka and SOTL, since those came out within 1 (?) year of each other. Madoka Magica itself also fits under that said category.

The Stans for The Last of Us Part II also also very unbearable.

Most anime. Especially Evangelion, even though it's one of my faves

Maybe even the one in my pfp, although I consider it relatively deep compared to most others
The Evangelion fandom is filled to the fucking gills with pseuds acting like the show is some incredibly complex and deep thing when all it's doing is cobbling together some references to Freud and loosely basing the AT fields around one of his ideas.
That's literally all there is to it but Evangelion fans want to make 6 gorillion hour long videos overanalyzing this shit and acting like it's the greatest anime ever made.

Metal Gear Solid as far as "deep" goes.

Specifically Metal Gear Solid V

Just see the retards who still think the game "wasn't finished" and the whole neverbegameover community to get an idea of how ridiculous they can get.

I'd also argue they really over estimate how much Kojima "saw the future" with MGS2, considering I heard conspiracies about information control back in the 90's. It's honestly just the idea of propaganda cranked up to 11.

Brat Pack solely for this video where some comic nerd acts like it is profound because the rapist character has an exclamation point on his penis which signifies that he is indeed a rapist.

Most edge lord, superhero deconstructions can fit here, or really edge comics in general. They all took the worst aspects of Watchmen, The Killing Joke, or TDK, yet people praise them for having supers do drugs and kill. The DCAU, written for 7 year-olds, is often more profound then actual adult cape-shit.

The fandom is exhausting, and spends way too much time trying to determine answers to elements that really don't matter and could just as easily be incorrect.

A lot of anime is like this though. A few years ago I recall some people talking about how some showdown in Hunter X Hunter was deep and profound, so I see the villain and... it's a faggot with cat ears who scratches opponents with his nails.
