For one, I kind of wonder how much troonery isn't encouraged by medical conglomerates, and there's not that many examples of cosmetic surgery having good outcomes. Most of the people who get it have some kind of obvious mental illness, so I think just right off the bat there's a question of whether or not they should be able to legally consent to surgery. Likewise, it's traditionally been held that unnecessary treatment is medically unethical.

Banned for minors with or without parental consent? 100%.

Banned for adults? That's something I'd like to personally support, but can't out of principle as it's simply too broad and encompassing. It should instead be treated as morally reprehensible by society as a whole and made legally difficult to the point where only the most twisted, irredeemable individuals would even entertain the notion of getting such procedures or practicing in the field.

I see where you're coming from, but there's two problems I have with this stance. The parental consent is a major issue because a lot of these transgender children have one parent who pushes for it for attention. The other issue I see is that it's hard to get society to do this. At the end of the day, the medical conglomerates have a lot more societal clout than the average person. All in all, I think what you're saying would be a massive improvement to the current status quo, but I don't think it would be a solution.

To be frank it feels dishonest to misrepresent your genes. Your wife or husband should have at least a decent idea what their kid should look like based on your appearance. Most plastic surgery is a huge waste of time and money and it makes me MATI that ugly people will make themselves look even more weird and uncanny instead of just getting over the fact that they aren’t attractive. Feels like one of those things that should technically be against the Hippocratic oath.

Even corrective surgery should be banned. Play the hand you're dealt.

Keep in mind though, there are people who have horrible accidents and get disfigured. I'm going to go ahead and add all cosmetic surgery banned to the poll options.

Moot because trannies will convince lawmakers that tranny surgery is corrective, as in correcting the wrong genitalia you were born with.

When life gives you lemons, you don't surgically alter the lemons to make them something else, you make lemonade... or something.

Gonna go with yes. Reconstructive is fine, purely cosmetic is unethical. Surgery is justified when the risks of being under anesthesia or slicing into a person outweigh the risks of doing nothing and when it is for the purpose of repairing damage.

The threat of harm from cosmetic surgery is infinitely higher than the threat of perfectly fine, unmodified, body parts. Shit like rebuilding a face that a chimp tore off or giving breast implants to a cancer patient who had a mastectomy is justified in my opinion.

If a person just doesn't like what they see in the mirror the problem is self esteem not small tits or whatever and no amount of money spent on cosmetic surgery will help. This is how people end up bogged. Therapy is a better investment but people love their quick fixes so much they will opt for them even when it doesn't actually fix anything.

Arent trans surgeries considered "corrective" anyway? "facial feminization surgery" to full gender reassignment would still be done.

A ban like this would at best just lead to some red tape that people have to pivot around, but id bet most surgeries would find a way. Jewish girls would get their doctor to say they have a "deviated septum" or something and they'd still get nose jobs. With everything being considered medical it might even be cheaper for them (your taxes would go towards it).

I can’t really agree with that. If you get injured in a car wreck you might need things fixing. Small defects like cleft palates can cause serious health issues unless fixed. There’s a lot of health issues that are fixed easily with surgery that would otherwise cause suffering and a lot of cost and pressure on the health service. Reconstructive work after injury, cancer etc is valuable
Granny getting a new hip and being able to live independently is better for a single payer system than granny being immobile and wasting away in a home, surely?
If you mean ‘you have a big nose, deal with it’ then yeah I’m more for that.
All Troon type surgeries should be banned. Extreme non needed cosmetic stuff should just be mocked to the point it falls out of fashion

Corrective surgery is fine. There are cosmetic procedures that are non-invasive...I think electrolysis counts? But it's a net negative for society to allow purely cosmetic surgery. The mental illness it exacerbates and encourages is insane. Adults cannot actually do anything we want. There are a million and one restrictions both social and legal and I think it behooves us to always question what sort of person would want to make X or Y decision and how allowing them outlets for their fuck-uppery is actually bad for themselves and everyone around them. Perhaps very minor procedures are fine. But I hate the unemotive blow up sex doll look everyone seems to be going for. It's horrific. And I don't care if it hurts their feelings to be kept away from it.

No, I don't like the idea of restricting what people can spend their own money on especially if it's "for their own good". If it's welfare, sure, but if you earned it you should be able to use it how you want within reason.

Plastic surgery has been around for ages, without the corporate/state backing the tranny stuff would go nowhere.

If you can reverse whatever you got then yes, but since you can't reverse a lot of the popular surgeries, they obviously shouldn't be being done to anyone unless they're a burn victim or something.

They are in nu-world thinking, but that's in the same general vein of things like bees being legally classified as fish imo.

Cosmetic surgery is very situational. For example I could defend anyone who has surgery as a means to remove eyebags like the ones George Soros has but more plastic surgeries turn people into uncanny valley freaks.

Agree, It is dishonest to misrepresent your genes. Despite:
No. It’s comedy gold watching Hollywood actors transform into ghouls as they desperately try to avoid aging.
being hilarous. I think it should be banned due it brings a delusional image of aging and what's real. It fucks with the peoples mentality about health and promoting said delusion in a "democracy" gives them a false image about how people actually look. If you can't be honest about how you look genetically, why would I trust peoples (politicians) words. Allowing non-corrective plastic surgery seems like a great way to lower the trust between the citizens.

Also a waste of tax money for the sake of "health", if your surgery results in any complications, you better pay for all the expenses. IDK how many retarded chicks go for the lip filler and BBL at some shaddy turkish clinic only to end up in an ER back home that my government is paying for with my money to save her life.

I mentioned the BBL stuff, which is pretty much a psyop to make human women into turn into baboons.
The niggerfication of the public is now surgical.
