Sekiro: Return to Dark Souls rage quit or unexpected surprise?

Swagginz trolling him is great.
His big issue with the game, the camera, the one thing you can control...Not any criticisms or observations like @BrunoMattei makes. Nope, it's all about the camera, Phil is right, and if you don't agree with him, you need to grow up and get two mortgages whilst making yourself unemployable.

Edit- someone just told him that they beat the game and that it was hard. Phil lets it slip that he has "heard the final boss was"...then stops, pauses awkwardly, looks around, and finishes his sentence. He has definitely looked up how to beat the final boss.

Has he bitched about the targeting system? Because I've had it happen numerous times where the game just un-targets. Mostly when a boss gets you up against a wall or they jump over you. The jump over you thing is fairly common in Souls titles and also applies to really tall enemies (I.E. Centipede Demon in Dark Souls 1) where the camera just shits itself if you target the boss.

I don't recall. His camera complaints always seem to be about when he backs himself into a corner, and doesn't have the wit to either get out or move the right analogue stick.

He told swagginz to ''be normal' 'dont be a drone' 'youre a butt kisser' and ' im not even going to read what you say anymore'

Swagginz tips him to say he'll shut up now. Imagine being so cucked you get abused by phil and respond by paying him to say sorry.
Losers loved to dominated by a even bigger loser. Very strange indeed.

Well I applaud DSP for finding some way to actually grind this game. Dude has NINE healing drinks and apparently gets double health regen on deathblows now.

Edit: His laughing right now against Corrupted Monk sounds so fucking fake.

Double Edit: He is so far away from Monk right now that Monk's posture meter keeps getting reset to zero.

I'm not that far, don't care about spoilers and wont act like I'm good at the game or anything. But that horseback boss early in the game gave me insane camera issues and would untarget sometimes.

To be fair. When a boss corners you it can be very difficult to escape because the dodge has very few invincibility frames if any. I'm not sure if dodging has invincibility frames like the Souls games. Add to it that bosses have attacks that hit you out of the air if you try jumping. Especially Death Blows.

Did Phil ever figure out you can avoid that by just... not standing next to the ape?

It's an insanely telegraphed move but can be a bitch when you fight the Ape a 2nd time.

I'm unsure if it's something with the PC version or not but it just randomly un-targets for me. It doesn't happen all the time but it is a bitch and a bizarre issue that wasn't too much of a thing in the older games. I know in Dark Souls 1 you'd un-target a boss if you were too far away from them (I.E. the Ornstein and Smough fight).

Just as you talk about that, he bitches yet again about the camera.
Out of interest, is the last hit of the Monk's whirlwind attack slightly faster than the others? I've noticed a lot of people get the first 4 down, only to mistime the last. Could be nerves, but I'm not sure.

He's 15-20 hours in and still hasn't figured out that a) guarding recovers posture faster, b) you need to jump straight up for sweep attacks from large enemies (or parry), and c) backing off to chug your gourds every 5 seconds will make the boss fight last 15 minutes

edit: d) pressing dodge when you're on the ground makes you get up faster

Neither has he realised that boss posture recovery speed is tied to health. If they are at max health, don't waste your time trying to get posture down, it recovers too quickly, the turning point is usually around 50% of the bosses health.
At least he's enjoying the fight/analysing it.
I love how he is convinced that there is a second form. He's not going to have a fun time with the actual monk encounter.

Having been hit by that attack multiple times, I believe the last 2 hits of the spin2win are slightly delayed. The second to last one, if you try to block it with the same timing as the first 3 will result in a guard, but not a deflect. The last one is even more delayed; if you use the same attempted deflect timing as the first 3 you'll just get hit straight up.

Isn't the Monk
the 1st one anyway
an apparition-type enemy? If so why isn't he using confetti? I'm pretty sure she is but not 100%, I used confetti because it just seems so much like an apparition.

Edit - He has confetti on his quick bar so I think he knows it's useful, still doesn't explain why he isn't using it at all but what can ya do.

Edit 2 - Literally was 1 hit from beating the boss. Ya hate to see it, or don't because it's funnier.

I only fought the Monk once and fucked up and got the bad ending (BTW if you select the bad ending and side with your father, the game doesn't let you reneg, once you do that you are locked in). The Monk wasn't too special when I fought them. But I'm a faggot that relies on the Firecracker so I dunno.

You don't need the Confetti. At least the 1st time you fight the Monk. I don't think you need it the 2nd time either. Ako's Sugar to reduce damage to Posture is maybe a must against the Monk? Maybe? The Confetti ups the damage you do against all enemy types.

It is very possible to get their posture down when their health is still high. I used the Firecracker (no regrets) and I know that I was able to cheese Lady Butterfly and Ishhin's last form with that shit: I.E. hit them once or twice, Firecracker, get a free hit, hit once or twice more, Firecracker, etc until I'm out of Emblems.

There is a way to cheese this boss hard. Hit it twice, fire cracker, hit it twice, fire cracker, repeat, then switch out for fistfuls of ash when you run out of spirit emblems. Stunlocks the monk so it can't do anything.

Could be that, I've seen a fair number of streamers + own experience to notice that it seems to be at a different timing to screw with you.

I love how DSP is mashing so many buttons that "the game keeps changing his quick item to Pellet". Not because he's mashing the left/right buttons, oh no.

I think that's exactly what I did. Not sure if that works the 2nd time you fight them but I wouldn't be surprised.
