I was there for it. As someone who doesn't really like Hyde... it was really, really good. I liked some of WP1, but this premier of WP2 was just banger after banger, I was absolutely dying laughing. Some notes:
- There's one insane sketch where Sam, Nick, and Charles (I think Charles..) are bartenders smashing and destroying all of the bottles and they said they used real glass for all of it, no props. This is true for all glass-breaking sketches, which there were many of.
- When y'all see it, you'll know just how insane that is.
- There's another sketch that's a matchmaking show finding egirls daddy doms which was incredible.
- They did a great Q&A afterwards where they answered a lot of questions about it
- They said it was the most fun they ever had shooting and IMO it shows
- It was all funded by "one man"
- They are currently in the works of having it picked up by someone/something, but wouldn't elaborate.
- ETA is March of next year if I remember correctly
- 6-8 episodes depending on how they cut them but it's all done and just in editing now as they try to find a place for it.
A lot of the other notes would only make sense in context of the sketches, but if I think of anything else I will add. WP2 was the highlight of the entire festival besides Sam's standup which was also some of the best at the event. I went in with mid expectations and left craving more. Some random pics:

Really happy to hear WP2 is top quality. I think the chances of it bombing like quite a few people in this thread had predicted were slim to none. When you have all the original writers from WP1 which was fucking amazing how are you going to make shit?

I can't believe I forgot to mention - there was a heckler in the audience who asked a really stupid question during the Q&A (I don't remember what it was but it was something faggoty meant to stir anger) and Sam jumped off the stage, physically grabbed the heckler, and personally threw him out of the venue. Was awesome. He also waited around for meet and greets which was cool of him.
If the rest of it was the quality of the premier, it will do numbers. Being unrestricted by a network was the best thing that could have happened to it.

I missed his first set but he did a surprise set the next day that was killer with different material, so I hope that's a sign of a possible return/more to come. Skankfest loved him so I wouldn't be surprised if he makes repeat appearances next year at the very least. TJ Miller -> Nick Mullen -> Sam Hyde was the lineup and I don't think I will ever top that.

i managed to login to fishtank. i will add a link for all the non pay-piggies when its done uploading tomorrow.
here are a couple thoughts:
-damiel is a phenomenally bad actor. i enjoyed him during the show, but with a real camera in his face its blindingly obvious hes trying incredibly hard which really kills it.
-the first ep ONLY covers the first day while still feeling like the pacing is pretty slow. its also missing a lot of parts i remember being funny, some omissions are more confusing than others.
-the editing is pretty jarring. its interesting to see the wigger crew try to edit something more traditional. its easier to tell when something feels bad when you can compare it to a normal tv show.
-the music is good in some places and very out of place in others.
-color grading is pretty all over the place but they also had those color changing LEDs to contend with.
-im pretty sure jets car has an exhaust leak, classic wigger move right there.
overall its pretty good but they failed to capture all the little things that made the show so great.
it would probably be impossible but still, not seeing the hog circling her prey, josie stimming in the middle of the night, or even the actual conversations. it really takes the wind out of the shows sails. maybe its different for someone that didnt watch it live.
it feels kinda like they made a tv show based off the low effort fishtank recap videos l0tan made, the broad strokes are there but all the interesting nuance is missing.
