Interests RIP Pollo Chandler - 20 May 2018

RIP kitty. I hate the idea of one day having to let my kitties go. Still. Chris should not be in charge of another living creature's life. His stupidity is dangerous for it.

How long until they adopt Pollo's replacement?
I REALLY hope they don't bring in more animals. They already don't take care of the ones they have.

The only reason the cats have been doing so well is that cats naturally do well on their own. Dogs don't and those poor canines are probably legitimately, seriously unhealthy by this point.

Sorbet is MIA and Pollo dies. It's a sign of things to come...

He didn't die my friend. He evolved into El Pollo Diablo!

Sad but that cat lived a surprisingly long time for being stuck with the Chandlers. RIP.

EDIT: I didn’t know Chris adopted it when it was already pretty old. Chris deserves props for that but he still shouldn’t be in charge of animals.

You're right. Sooner or later Chris will take in an alpha animal that will challenge and defeat him for dominance. The animal will most likely be a rabid raccoon. Or a squirrel that will store its nuts for winter inside of Barb.

R.I.P. Chandler kitty. :heart-empty:

It's cat mating season right now so they're all trying to make a break for it, hopefully the missing cat safely makes his way home in a couple of weeks.

Did they adopt it from a shelter or was it a "stray" (not feral) that sorta wandered in for food? The original FB post wasn't clear. Seems weird to go to a shelter to purposely adopt another pet given the conditions of the family, but I guess there isn't much sense that goes on there.

Looks like vomit from kidney failure (his pawshave it too) ,right beside his head I can't tell if that's some blood on the wall or grime.

Could also be edema from heart failure or a half dozen other options. In a normal home one doesn't have to wonder if the stains on the wall are recent bodily fluids or old.

I've been lucky, the cat in my household that died recently just sorta went lights-out without apparent suffering. I still don't really understand taking time to think about an ebay sale while your pet is dying but I guess the mysteries of Chris's mind are difficult to unravel.

Is there fur missing around Pollo's muzzle? Plus his fur looks dull and not shiny. Even in filthier houses, cats can tend to themselves well.

By the looks of him, I like to think it did die of renal/kidney failure. I had a cat that died from it and he was in his 20s. He was blind and deaf as well.

The picture tears me up, becsuse it hurts to see a dying cat.

I still have yet to figure out what Chris was trying to accomplish by posting a picture of pollo dying to Twitter, followed by telling people to by a broken iPhone. Was it for sympathy??? Or was he trying to tug on the heartstrings of cat lovers thinking that if he did that, they would buy it. Chris dodged a bullet by deleting the Twitter post though, he would've had alot of angry people claiming he was exploiting polloa death for money.

Poor baby. F.

It's a bit extra hard to see that picture because my boy was a black and white cat too and it's still so recent.. Why would someone post that? (Beside the obvious answer)

Chris is an idiot and doesn't realize things like that are in poor taste. He truly does love his pets, even if he doesn't always do the right things for them.

I think Chris simply posted the pic because people were accusing him of lying about his cat dying. His perception of things is different than a normal person's--he doesn't know what's in bad taste unless someone tells him. Someone probably messaged him and told him it was upsetting and looked bad so he took it down. That happens with a lot of the stuff he posts.

My guess is that he wanted to prove that Pollo was actually dying; not understanding that - when it comes to dying pets - it's the one thing you don't have to provide evidence for. To be honest, CWC saying Pollo was twitching and having difficulty breathing was heartbreaking enough without the visual aid.

If he did it for sympathy points in order to get more money for his used phone; just...wow.
