Interests RIP Pollo Chandler - 20 May 2018

Maybe he was so heartbroken by the loss of Sorbet, he just lost the will to live. You sort of like those birds do that pair up for life?

Chris is an idiot and doesn't realize things like that are in poor taste. He truly does love his pets, even if he doesn't always do the right things for them.

This is my impression.

I see why people might be put off by him posting a picture of a dying cat if it seems like it is used to sell an iPhone.

But I am not sure it was. As you say, you can't assume he has thought things through. The thoughts "my cat is dying" and "buy my iPhone" may easily have been two fairly unrelated thoughts he wanted to share with the world, and they just happened in sequence. He isn't good at being subtle. If he wanted to make that connection he would have just said "My cat is dying, so please buy my phone".

As for why he shared the picture of the dying cat, who knows. He has always thought he should share all of the significant moments of his life with the world. He has also always had a very poor inappropriateness filter. I do agree that gaining sympathy points could have been part of it. But probably more along the lines of the general pity party lots of people throw for themselves on social media from time to time.

If he wanted to make that connection he would have just said "My cat is dying, so please buy my phone".

But he did just that. When he initially advertised the phone auction (which came after that picture), he threw in the fact that Pollo was dying (in CWC's own words - 'barely breathing and twitching!') and may need money to have him euthanized if the cat wasn't dead by morning.

So, yeah - he was using Pollo's rapidly deteriorating health as a means to get more money from the iPhone auction.

That's the one thing I do like about chris, he really does love his animals, that in itself shows that he has some good in him.

I know he doesn't read on here and we aren't meant to post directly to him, but if he does read this thread, my condolences to you mate, it's hard to lose a pet, especially one of that age.

Real talk. I'm sure he didn't mean it to come across the way it did, but of all the shitty/upsetting things Chris has ever posted, this one hit me the hardest. In honor of Pollo, i'm giving my cat an extra helping of people food tonight. If you're a cat dad (or mom), i suggest you do something similar.

If Pollo's short adopted life with Chris demonstrates anything at all, it's that cats are too good for us. Though unlike dogs, they're at least kinda aware of that.
Sounds like somebody is pussy whipped
