Interests RIP Pollo Chandler - 20 May 2018

When people look at older pets they tend to see medical bills and death. Chris doesn't think that far ahead so he just sees a nice kitty who needs some food, water, and hugs.

He needs to walk those dogs though. Badly.

Is bubs holding shitrock in the gif?? Or is that the other cat, Vince the pince, because his paw is in the shape of a lobster claw??? Either way, that one handsome cocksucker of a cat.

I understand that Chris is not a normal person, and won't be able to react to a dying pet normally. But wtf, why would you post a picture of a dying pet to twitter? For attention? And also, if Pollo was dying, why do you need to include an ebay link for people to buy your phone?

I understand that Chris is poor and might not be able to take Pollo to the vet. And maybe even going to the vet won't save Pollo. Fine, but if he have any sense of decency, he should just spend time with Pollo's last moments, instead of posting stuff on Twitter.

RIP Pollo, you deserve better.

Is there fur missing around Pollo's muzzle? Plus his fur looks dull and not shiny. Even in filthier houses, cats can tend to themselves well.

By the looks of him, I like to think it did die of renal/kidney failure. I had a cat that died from it and he was in his 20s. He was blind and deaf as well.

The picture tears me up, becsuse it hurts to see a dying cat.

It's not different from when Patti died, and after Chris did his tribute in the comic, immediately we're into an ad for his Hedgehog Boys CD.

Seriously, it was a tad much to even go here.

RIP Pollo, you deserve better.
Certainly.

My guess is he wanted to be true and honest and show he wasn't making things up.

Why do you think he didn't? It only takes a couple of minutes to post that to Twitter.

What I always found fascinating is that despite being adopted at an old age, Pollo absolutely adored Chris. A lot of cats spend their entire lives with humans and they are either indifferent or down right hate people if they're not raised properly. I don't know if Pollo was a stray cat or taken from a shelter, but that cat seemed very grateful for the attention Chris gave him.

Chris might be a bad pet owner but that didn't mattered to Pollo, and just like the lumberjack he loved the kid to death despite his faults.

Rest in peace, Pollo. You were truly a sweet pea.

Well, at least he had it pretty good for his last years. Warm house, someone who cared for him, full belly, wasn't abused, lived to an old age. Hell of a lot more than can be said for a metric fuckton of other cats.
Chris empathizes more for his pets than he does people, so it has to suck for him. What sucks more though is the peeps who need to kick a dude while he's down. Dick move.

for here rests pollo though his name was chicken he survived it all,so we stand here to today not to salute a solider but to salute a survivor.my dearest pollo may you enjoy the finest catnip in heaven for you have survived long. rest in peace pollo you brave soul. godspeed grants you away from cwcville.

Looks like vomit from kidney failure (his paws have it too) ,right beside his head I can't tell if that's some blood on the wall or grime. Hopefully he didn't suffer too long and at least it looks like Chris tried to comfort him as much as he could, though with his other pets he should just ask if the vets will allow him to go on a payment plan since some will let you if you've been a client for a long time and its an emergency.

My 19-year-old cat (who is deaf and blind with kidney problems rather like your cat, though currently they're being kept pretty stable by daily meds) has a dull and often greasy looking coat. It's because there aren't any real barbs on her tongue any more to smooth and comb the fur - for those who don't know, the reason cats' tongues feel sandpapery is because they're covered in tiny barbs - but if she's brushed daily her coat looks fine. The staining around his mouth and paws indicates to me he wasn't well enough to properly clean himself for a while.

I'll never understand people who post pictures of dying animals publicly, or worse still, their corpses. Like wtf that's your beloved pet and only sick fucks like seeing dead and dying animals. Nobody wants to see that shit on their feed. It's like when Raven posted a photo of her cat Marmalade after she had been run over and killed.

Real talk. I'm sure he didn't mean it to come across the way it did, but of all the shitty/upsetting things Chris has ever posted, this one hit me the hardest. In honor of Pollo, i'm giving my cat an extra helping of people food tonight. If you're a cat dad (or mom), i suggest you do something similar.

If Pollo's short adopted life with Chris demonstrates anything at all, it's that cats are too good for us. Though unlike dogs, they're at least kinda aware of that.

I'm no cat person, but I assume Pollo's life would have been much shorter if Chris never adopted him and he stayed feral. So that's a positive impact from Chris at least.

The same cannot be said about his poor dogs though
