Its really triggered the zoomies it seems, if the number of react videos, tik toks and shorts is any indication. Its also pissed off all the right people.

Even on Reddit, the song triggered neurons that have been dormant for years.

People on Reddit like to claim to be anti-government but when people criticize the elites they for some reason throw their shit
Their elites aren't bad. Only the bad elites deserve death in minecraft. The MSM, and now to a greater extent social media, have managed to convince the US population that they live in a some Third World hellhole where politics is literally life and death. Histrionics have become the norm. Deathsquads await around every corner.

There are very serious issues that need to be addressed and I'm not some fence sitting faggot jerking myself off over "both sides bad!". I certainly vote on issues and support industries and lobbyists who serve my interest, but people gotta understand that nobody in DC or your state capital is on your side. Most of the time they're doing fuckall that has any real impact on anything. Politicians want to stay in power. They make promises to get your vote. They need to be held accountable to them and should be discarded when they no longer serve you.

Politicians are tools to be used, they aren't your favorite sports franchise to be cheerleaded. A young rep made an interesting comment off topic comment in a interview where he blamed congress critters becoming activists on the neutering of of Congressional powers, so they turned to media to remain relevant. It was an interesting point I'd never thought of and it's a shame it was a one off comment as I would have liked him to expand on it.

This further proves in this day and age alt-country is the only real country music. A person, an instrument or two and their message with its own character, none of that over manufactured wanna be Hollywood pop noise.
It's very raw and real. That one young comedian who made an album during covid had a parody song that lambasted corporate country pretty well. I didn't find it particularly funny because it isn't terribly difficult to talk about how shit country is and isn't interesting coming from some white liberal. Now, a nerdy white liberal comedian making the same type of song about rap would be hilarious.

If the government is entirely corrupt that means you have to overthrow it and they are lazy. It's literally just laziness. They want to stay home and goon and will accept any excuse to think staying at home gooning and just voting for puppets like AOC will actually improve things.

It usually ends in them calling you racist and antisemitic. The elites have trained their nigger cattle to shame one another for believing perfectly reasonable and logical things. They realized the true power of this after 1945.

In a weird way, the lyrics work for the UK too. Rishi Sunak is the MP for Richmond, as well as being PM, and that seat is in North of England, in Yorkshire.
He's the richest PM we've ever had, and he's allegedly richer than King Charlie.

Agreed. I listened and found a lot of things that relate to the UK.

It’s the same thing with any sort of “conspiracy theory”. All for saying the government is bad and evil but the moment you say that maybe they did something bad and evil (Las Vegas, JFK) they become the biggest supporters of the government.

It's amazing watching the real time reaction as twitter commies and reddit retards start to realize this song wasn't written for them. They're already whining about the welfare line, and there is a gayop on pol right now trying to make it seem like a socialist anthem to get people to not listen to it.

I like it, it's a bit twangy but I'll take some heartfelt twang over mass produced Nashville faggotry any day.

Nancy version of Take This Job and Shove It, I'm A White Boy, I Wish a Buck Was Still Silver, whatever. Maybe it's just because I hate the guy's singing inflection but it's gay. "old soul in a new world", yeah I remember bitches saying that in middle school. Little line safely alluding to Epstein. I dunno, this is just an audial equivalent of some milquetoast conservative grifter like Dan Bongino or some shit, no wonder it's blowing up I guess.

would believe this if you posted some proof of gay shit the singer does in his spare time

It's been a while since I've heard a good song that felt authentic. It's just a good song performed well, simple as that.

Seems to work in pretty much all western countries. Especially with the flood of immigrants in Europe who bleed their social security funding while the natives in those countries are told to fuck off. Politicians are also corrupt in every country under the sun, and only rare exceptions to those are some of the nationalist 'far-right' politicians. That's one of the reasons why there's been two decades of gayops by glowies and their handmaidens against nationalism in Europe.

Local copy of the song. Although you should watch it on Youtube and buy it on iTunes or Spotify or something.

It's a breddy gud song, though I'm sucker for songs where it's just a nigga and his axe.

The comments on that video are the REAL entertainment though.

Just as the world keeps spinning and the wind keeps blowing, Conservative boomers and your average soyboy lefty are on the same end of the bell curve. Introducing politics as a form of bloodsport has fucking poisoned these people, all of them. Though I seen more than just a few "This is a Jewish psyop" or antisemitic sentiment in general which is really fucking interesting, because outside of this niche of the Internet, I have never seen it expressed by normies. Maybe the pendulum is swinging back, who knows?

It's at 7.5 million now. About 16 hours ago it was at 4.3mil.

When I refreshed it from watching it with someone about 40 minutes after initial viewing it had already gained 400,000 views.

Honestly I really hope this dude all the best in his music career - his voice is fire, and I am ashamedly gushing over that guitar.

Will anything come of it? Nah. GenZ are all fucking pussies and GenX and Mil. don't like the world that would be replaced if the current system was replaced anyways, so fuck it.

Oliver Anthony's first public statements since going viral.

Then Jamey Johnson just crashed the performance with a surprise rendition of "Seen it in Color"

Again. Just acoustic instruments and voice.

Lets take a moment to consider the moment. This is coming on the heels of "Try that in a small town" and other more comedic smack talk from the Pandemic year. Country Music is now the punk rock of our era. Subversive messaging, protest anthems, etc. And not "Nashville Sound". The old school blue grass and Appalachian style. Its not peak clown world, but its certainly a very loud *HONK*.

From a purely artistic expression though, stripping away the messaging and so on, its also subversive. None of these guys are doing auto tune, there is no over the top choreography, the music isn't playing on a recording, and all the rest that goes into music these days. Its just vocals, an instrument and a microphone. What is old is new again.
