I went from being happy that swapping optical drives from one Xbox One X to another only requires a little soldering, to being pissed to find my soldering iron is among my tools that were not returned to me.

Just here to chime in and say something that's probably obvious to 95% of you but for the other 5%:

Avoid emulator discord servers like the plague, they are full of the most "moral"faggy transgender niggercattle you will ever see.

Speaking of menus, WHERE ARE THE FUCKING THEMES NINTENDO WHY EVEN BUILD A THEME SELECTION INTO THE OS IF IT’S JUST GOING TO BE BLACK AND WHITE FOREVER
Late reply, but I seriously still can't believe that it's been almost 10 years since the Switch released and still no new themes yet. Not even a basic Mario one. What a travesty, smh.

I hooked my PS3 back up last night and man, I hate that version of the store. Getting the de-listed stuff I have in my library reinstalled is such a pain in the ass.

Also, I think the USB ports are fucked because using a wired controller results in some inputs not working and phantom inputs, which blows because I have the Logitech controllers that use a USB dongle as well as a HORI Pad Mini that I like using, and they’re just impossible to use now.

I may try doing a wipe and fresh OS install, but then I’d have to fight the store again to install things, and I’d rather not.

You can (and should) redownload them using the Download List to avoid using the awful store.
It's a really nice controller, I have one for PS and one for Switch. Fits my kids hands better too.

Just wish I had bought the slime one before it went out of stock:

I hate this dumb shit. It's all hobbyist niche stuff anyway, games that maybe 1000 people have any passing interest in, and 500 who care about playing it in english, and 100 who will use your patch, and 2 who will play it with such a critical eye as to bitch about it.

Just lie. Fucking lie through your teeth, make a brand new account so your main doesn't get banned, say "hi guise I've always loved this game and really wanted to translate it so I used my 4 years of Japanese in high school plus translation dictionaries to bring this project to life" and release your machine translation. It's vastly better than nothing. If anyone doesn't like it, they will make their own better patch.

What these people fail to realize is every time someone bans AI, it just further incentivizes people to not tell you that they've used it. At this point there's no reason why anyone should announce it outside of explicitly AI-centered groups, all it does it put a target on your back from crazed luddites.

Are there any good sites out there for romhacks that aren't run by trannies?

I prefer manual efforts but it's hard to ignore how good machine translations are getting. Xitter has them on by default by grok and as far as I can tell they're really, really good.
Even then, it just becomes "What now?" Are the trans-lators going to stumble upon each other to do whatever's been removed out of sheer spite? We know they're just going to sit on their asses and pat themselves on the back about a job well done. I see that elsewhere for other machine translated media. They get down rated to hell, but no one picks up the slack. After all, that's why they're getting MTL in the first place.

It's not like with the artists where it's easy enough to bait them into drawing a thing or two for free.

On an unrelated note, is anyone here a fan of the Arcade Archives and Console Archives series by Hamster? I was looking through the lineup, and there's a lot of interesting stuff in there.
No, Hamster, I will not pay $8 for Pac-Man on a console that already has four other ports of Pac-Man bundled with other games for cheaper. Nor will I pay $8 for a single mid-tier NES game, especially one whose distribution is exclusive to Switch 2 and PS5 for no reason. Enjoy piracy.
