Reorganization of September 29th, 2025

How about a games sub forum for community projects? The games forum moves so fast these tends to get buried, but once they are done they are always relevant for users even when the activity has died down.
If left in the games forum, they will most likely be lost to a majority of people.

A minor change: I would like for watched threads on the homepage to not display the thread byline, reducing the vertical space each takes up to 2-lines at maximum. They can be kept full-height on the https://kiwifarms.st/watched/threads page.

More generally, I'm not sure what is the most common way people use watched threads.
For less active threads where I read everything, watching the thread works well, but for extremely active threads like Bossman or MatI the only value of "watching" them is to pin them to my homepage (mindful that the limit of 5 slots to contend for means they'll essentially always occupy one of those slots and push-off other watched threads I care about)

I would like to be able to have some quick way to get back into active threads I enjoy reading.
To that end, I think I would personally be interested in the ability to "favorite" threads. (to avoid re-using the terms "pin" or "watch")

I could see this most easily being done as a box on the homepage sidebar below the active/new threads boxes. But imo a better way might be to have them specific to each board. So if I go to one of the off-topic boards like Games or Self-Sufficiency, I could more quickly get back into the threads I care about. Would not hurt intra-site discoverability as much and it would also give you another thread stat (favorites) to play with on the backend.

You need to make it so that every single time anyone reacts to anything with a sticker, literally every single account on the site gets a notification, and this feature cannot be disabled.

allow embedded of videos already uploaded elsewhere on kf by using the direct URL inside the "media" function.

So like if I wanted to post this, I could click media, post that url in media, and it would show here like this

But without me needing to download and REUPLOAD the file

This would both be handy, and save space over time when memes and shit don't necessarily need to be reuploaded 50 times to be in 50 places

I love you, man, but I fucking hate the merger of Deathfats and the Beauty Parlor forum. I come here to mock delusional fatties, and don't give a shit about the skellies, MUAs, self-mutilating munchies, and other Cluster B exemplars.

Yes, I realize I can click on the Deathfats tag to see all the gorls' threads, but to navigate between individual threads now is way clumsier than it was. I fucking hate it, and I'm not even a change-averse autist.

That said, the choice of a gravy-colored background for the Deathfats tag is truly inspired; it's enough to make Chantal salivate in approval.

ETA: Oh, and the scroll to top/bottom feature makes my mobilefag self incredibly happy. THANK YOU.

I edited the 'Active threads' area so that it does not include author information, only includes the thread title, links to /unread instead of the OP, and is expanded to include 5 more threads.

I understand why, and having more Active threads is great. But having at least the forum/subforum listed was useful information. I don't want to go clicking a thread in Stinkditch or the (now gone) Animal Control. Thread titles alone aren't descriptive enough to let me know what's going on.

Posts in New Politisperging are fine, the section itself tells us what they are: A&N articles. But the other sections need more context, they cover too wide a ground.

At a glance, without deepest knowledge of every facet of site lore, can you tell what you're in for with these?

The first looks like Community Watch or a Grifter, but is actually in PG. The second is utterly opaque, turns out it's a new Chris-chan thread. The last has the expected format of a lolcow thread in PG, and is actually a new lolcow PG thread.

Same with OT:

This screencap is kind of a bad example, you can guess the first two are Games and the last is Music. But you're still guessing, and other thread titles aren't going to be as clear.

It's so tarded I have to wade through 90% of threads I don't GAF now that BP was merged from deathfats. It's less organized than before brother. You can say you "loathe stagnation" well how about you don't fix what isn't broken? You've degraded the user experience and for what?

We should change the name from Kiwi Farms to the Transgender Support Forums, so when reporters write hit pieces no one will know exactly who they are talking about
