Two interpretation of the Japanese version of The Heart Sutra, performed by two prominent Japanese synthists and Buddhist monks. Himekami's rendition is fairly straightforward, the synth accompaniment tentative at the start but achieves a noble progression towards the end.

Kitaro's more-embellished version (entitled "Wa") employs Chinese chimes, with which he beats out a gamelan pattern to usher in the chants. As the chanting goes, he switches to a generic synth wash and drums, mounting in intensity.

The Oxyrhynchus hymn, rediscovered in 1918, the oldest existing Christian hymn where we have both the lyrics and notation. Circa late 3rd century.

Let the world be silent Let not the stars shine their lights
Calm the winds, silence the rivers
Let all praise the Father, the Son and the Holy spirit
Let all sing together Amen, Amen.
Let kings bow, and God receive the glory!
The sole giver of good things, Amen Amen.

Amazing Grace the best hymn ever composed imo:
If any one has non-pozzed nonmormon version that would be a wonderful christmas present.

Compare this to scum sucking boomer shit like On Eagles Wings.
