I took 26 one night and I was the one that ended up saving the group from having a bad trip. I was watching Akira the cartoon and my friends were at the other end of a long couch. You could fit seven adults on this couch comfortably. So I’m into this movie tripping balls when I could feel the room suddenly take on a different vibe. So I start listening to the somewhat hushed conversation when I realized this younger kid was sucking everyone into his bad trip. He was struggling with the right and wrong of LSD.
Then how the couple whose apartment we were in had a baby in the back bedroom asleep and how terrible we all are for doing drugs when an innocent child is in the house. I jumped up and was kid you need to shut the fuck up. That broke the spell and everyone was like WTF we were getting drawn into his bad trip. My brother jumps up mad as hell over it and says to the kid, now I got to cut you! Kid jumps up and hides in the bathroom.
We go into the kitchen to get a drink. I take the kid some water and he refuses to open the door. But he’s asking that I open the front door so he can just walk out. The door gets opened and I tell him he’s free to leave. I walk into the kitchen and turn in time to see a streak fly by. We’re on the second floor, so I run over to the door in time to see the kid hit the railing and jump over it. I can’t belive it but he hits the ground and barrel rolls his landing coming to his feet and he was gone.
So for the next hour we sat in darkness expecting the police to knock. When my brother and I decided to go home it’s 5am. This is when we were much younger. We get to my mom’s and walk up to the front door. Before I could even touch the knob and the door is jerked open and my stepdad is standing there in his tighty whities. Demanding to know where we’ve been. I turn to my brother for help and he had bolted before the door was completely open. I just tell my stepdad I’m to fucked up to talk to you right now. I walked around him and went inside, needing to smoke a joint.
I call my brother and tell him I’m gonna go sit by the pool in the backyard. I’m laid out on the diving board and my brother is laid out on the concrete. We’re passing the joint back and forth. I have my eyes closed for about 15 minutes and I’m taking a big rip of my joint when I open my eyes my stepdad is standing over me and I fucking jumped and flick this big joint into his face and I tell him I’m frying my balls off and he’s done nothing but fuck it up. Now leave me the fuck alone. My brother heard him in the house telling my mom I don’t know what they’re on but I’m not going back out there. First time to take that much acid and I was the only level headed guy the entire night
