And wtf is this "reckless disregard for human life and property" category?

If I had to guess it's a way for the Razzies to virtue signal like every other awards show nowadays. Instead of the winners getting on a soapbox about the political topic du jour, the Razzies just nominate the "toxic" movies in this neat little category. It's how they can bitch about how Joker could have caused an incel uprising or how Rambo is totally racist without needing celebrities to promote shit no one cares about.

I'm surprised Rambo didn't sweep the Razzies. Doesn't make the categories any less bullshit though.

Dolemite was a great film. It was so refreshing to see Eddie Murhpy in a role he actually cared about.

There is a lot wrong with this list, but to leave Godzilla: King of the Monsters out of the complete bullshit "Reckless Disregard for Human Life and Property" category they pulled totally out of their assholes just to take more unwarranted pisstakes at Rambo: Last Blood and Joker? That's insane. That Godzilla doesn't get a nomination in that category is absurd, and IT'S NOT EVEN BECAUSE OF GODZILLA. Godzilla is a good boi. No, it's because of that fuckin' bitch!

The entire fucking plot of Godzilla: KotM revolves around a woman who is so asshurt about her family being broken up by a giant monster fight in San Francisco during the first movie that she knowingly teams up with doomsday environmental terrorists to awaken an extraterrestrial super-organism to subjugate all life on Earth and bend all human civilization to their whims. Just to settle the score with Big-G, who once again, is a good boi and dindu nuffin. Hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people had to have been killed, all because of that bitch's selfishness. The damage to property is incalculable. Entire major metropolitan areas were wiped off the Earth. A thousand, thousand deaths would not good enough for her character.

So to leave that off that bullshit list shows that they just don't watch these movies... or worse yet, they agree with environmental terrorism? Pick your poison.

Looks like the trainwreck that was Cats swept the Razzies.

Also, it's very easy to become a Razzie member. I believe it's only about $25 a year. Of course, I never did it because I'd feel obligated to see all the movies that could be nominated. I do wonder if some of the members vote without even seeing the movies.

I'm not really surprised by Cats taking most of the categories. A little surprised it didn't take all of them honestly, considering it feels like Rambo's only there because they hate Rambo for no real reason.

Alright, show of hands. Who here thinks they were just looking for an excuse to smear Joker? This category just seems utterly pointless. If you wanna shit on a movie for “disregard for human life and public property”, look at every fucking action movie in history; yes, even your precious MCU.

It's obvious that the Razzies are being biased since they're bashing Stallone way too much and didn't put a single Disney-owned flick on there (you'd think Rise of Skywalker or one of the live-action remakes would at least get a nod) but the "Reckless Disregard For Human Life" category in and of itself seems to be one of those random joke categories they do every so often, even if it is being used just to smear Joker, Last Blood, and a few other movies they personally dislike.

I haven't paid attention to the Razzies in God knows how long, but I do remember that every so often, they'd have a special random category for certain years that was unrelated to the main ones they have every year.

Now, I may be remembering it wrong, but it does sound like one of those things they'd do.
