Or out of vain hopes it will get better.

You know given this thread and the song I quoted earlier it wouldn't surprise me of the creator of Scott Pilgrim announces a reboot or continuation in the near future just to cash in on how people are still talking about an American manga turned into a one hit wonder movie

This thread is depressing because it reminds one of how nutty feminists and circus freaks trying to pass themselves as women co opted a look that once belong to cool, fuckable punk or goth chicks. Hell, even 2000s emo kids were better than the former two.
Speaking as a guy who's had his share of punk/goth/emo/scene girlfriends in highschool, I can promise you you weren't exactly missing a whole lot. Each and every one of them had some amount of mental/emotional baggage to where being around them for a fuck was just infinitely way more trouble than it was ever worth. Lo and behold, a lot of these girls of the 2000s more often than not became the nutty feminists and circus freaks we have today.

Jessi Slaughter was the rule as opposed to the exception concerning these girls is what I'm trying to say

Well damn that makes it more depressing. Wonder if your experience applies to the punks and goths from the 80s and 90s.
