This based on my own recollection and interpretation of my own life xp.
For the longest time on social media/in polite culture, extreme/alt right politics and "edgelord" humor used to be considered extremely taboo. Peaking in between the years of 2016-2020, due to factors like social justice, Donald Trump winning the 2016 election, the state of public opinion being heavily influenced by social media platforms that were heavily moderated by super left wing autistic power tripping jannies, and other factors, super right wing or "anti SJW" politics was considered counter culture. This was until the Liberalization of Social Media when the most mainstream social media platforms started becoming more liberal with their moderation, which I assume started because of Elon Musk's acquisition of twitter and maybe TikTok blowing up in the US.
Due to this Liberalization, political and social opinions that at one point would get you fired from your job and would have you completely ostrizisised from society, are now being spoken very regularly by average everyday people. Discussions relating to Jewish Influence in US politics or Jewish influence globally, racial disparities in crime statistics in the Western World, and other discussions like that have become borderline mainstream now; discussions that if had in polite society would cause catastrophic social consequences.
This Liberization has allowed the public to feel a lot more comfortable having discussions about serious underlying issues that the Western World is facing. I am in favor of this social change.
That being said, I feel as if normies are taking what was once considered cool, edgy, shocking, and funny, and are making it cringe and gay. This is making social interactions i have IRL and online feel exhausting. At one point, cracking racist jokes with my friends used to be the funniest shit in the world because it was considered off cuff and shocking. But because being racist has become mainstream, its become very reptitive. It seems like I can't go online anywhere without the same political takes about "DA JOOZ" being thrown in my face. You interact with any guy on your college campus and within 20 minutes they ranting or reciting some opinon they got from a Nick Fuentes clip and asking you about your opinion on Isreal. We have 70 year old Government officials trying to be as edgy as possible to try to pander to Gen Z males. Everyday it seems like since people redpilled in the last 1-2 years, everyone I interact with or am friends with has become super "based and redpilled" and has made being racist their entire personality. What was once considered eye opening and morbidly funny, now feels vapid and repititive.
EDIT: The same thing applies to discussion relating to sexism/women.
TL DR: Alternative right wing political disccusions used to be engaging and thought provoking, and now due to everyone getting "redpilled" last year its full of normietard inane drivel, and the quality of racist/"dark" humor has plumittied and/or the effects of it have been severly dampened due to its excess in online space and IRL.
Maybe this is what needs to happen though for the greater good idk.
