This is gonna sound controversial but I think PDX should get rid of PP and Army XP and replace it with popularity. Experience points for me sounds way too RPG for me.
PP and Army/Naval/Air XP should be replaced with DNB or Dead Nigger Babies and its usage should be expanded.

Want to set a line for tanks? 20000 DNBs.
Want to unlock Arty 39? 10000 DNBs.
Want to go full GBP? 2000000 DNBs.

You get DNBs by grinding in Africa, South America, the Himalayas and the Mongonlian Desert.

Yes but how would this impact the trans community in Lesotho?

I'm sorry but I can't fulfill your request as it violates Paradox Interactive's End User License Agreement

<50 Syrian gangsters have been hired and are awaiting confirmation. PDX headquarters will be invaded at your command.

How does combat work? Does it have a battle plan system because I don’t really want to micro everything.
That might be a deal breaker if you've grown used to the fronts system. HOI4 has brought in a lot of conveniences that takes out a lot of the tedium and spreadsheetery of older games. Even worse for me is the lack of fixed templates which makes organizing and raising divisions more time consuming. Mind you, this is just scraping the surface of all the extra layers of management 3 has that 4 streamlined. I personally like it, but I'd be lying if I said that I didn't see why 3 is incredibly niche while 4 achieved some amount of mainstream success. I'd still suggest that you look into its systems since they actually do a lot of the things you said you wanted out of HOI4. Definitely not Paradox's most approachable game though, that's for sure.

So in half a decade and lord knows how many reworks we've gone from Germany landing on the moon and America giving them a middle finger by landing on Mars to the vague promise that we'll be doing the OTL space race but with Germany replacing the USSR in 2029?
*sigh*

Found another meta division video. Here are my thoughts about them.

Screenshot 2026-07-06 155408.png

Defense INF: This is a pure defensive division used for fronts you don;t particularily care about. In my opinion, your army shouldn't mostly consist of pure defensive armies like this. There are other divisions I find interesting however.

Brick INF: This should work for all countries in single player and it seems like you can fit your entire army into these divisions while not having to micro anything.

Screenshot 2026-07-06 154802.png Screenshot 2026-07-06 155009.png

Shield INF: This division's purpose is to act as support for your tank divisions by going into combat first before your tanks so as to not lose tank equipment. I've honestly never seen much players talk about despite the fact that tanks lose equipment very fast if you don't know what you're doing. This could fit in majority of your army as a tank country.

Screenshot 2026-07-06 155129.png Screenshot 2026-07-06 155138.png

Marine and Mountaineers: This is definitely for crossing rivers and mountains. I have seen hybrid special forces before, especially this combination. Seems pretty good as a small addition to your army consisting of brick or shield inf.

SPG: This is something you use mostly in single player. However, the youtuber did say that you could use it in multiplayer. You can swap camels for motorized/mechanized according to the video.

Screenshot 2026-07-06 155830.png

Tank Destroyer: This is the main tank template that most players in multiplayer use. Obviously things that work in multiplayer can work in single player but I wonder if swaping the TD's with normal medium tanks would be fine for single player.

These are all the designs for SPG's, TD's, Flame Tanks, and Recon Tanks. Interestingly enough, the video seems to not put much relliance on reliability.

All in all, not much different from previous updates. Line artillery is still useless like every other update. Sad.

I designed six templates as Japan in TFR to see what's viable. There's no research that was completed yet so all of the stats are at its base value. SPAA, Engineer, Signal (should've been maitinence but I'm retarded), and Logistics are the support companies that I always included. Everything else was changed for something else.

From my convos with him he strikes as a well read chud who genuinely seeks the truth even if it doesn’t cater to his politics. It’s why he’s reading a ton of marx and left wing thinkers these days. Also in my convos in DMs he seems to have opened up to some of the ideas of fascism, though he dislikes clerical fascists and the general larpiness of the online far right
On the other hand:

1. He is brown.

2. He is pro-NATO (Browner)

That's funny considering he says in his videos how conservatives should make up their own myth to get people to vote for them. It's a crow calling the raven a nigger.
I don’t really see how disliking tradcath groyperish larpers really contradicts the idea that conservatives should promote a positive ideal of conservatism to get votes.

It’s not even a controversial opinion, it’s just politics 101

Apologies for the double post but new TNO teaser, I believe this one happens after hitler suffers a heart attack since the russia nuke (unternehmen nachtigall) is mentioned as being unsuccessful

The mention of White Ruthenia in the special report event might indicate that Ostland or at least the OCW will be completely removed when they finish Germany's demo. I wonder if they'll show off the GCW replacement GUI too. All in all while you might be able to make an argument about the quality increasing the world just feels emptier, blander and poorer the more they rework it.

I don’t think ostland is getting removed outright, It’s still mentioned in the teaser under the second focus which I will not type out because fuck german, It seems to be getting divided up to show the administrative differences between the baltics and belarus

I don’t know how tf that’s going to work gameplay wise but it looks like we’re getting a ukraine style revolt in belarus

I'd wager that we're getting something closer to the Moskowien treatment where they just removed all gameplay and had a leader get installed via RNG after five minutes of cosmetic anarchy. Even if you like this sort of thing was it really worth it spending six years just to maybe get a GUI minigame?
