I was talking to friend about this, Tom Sellick did a similar movie years ago. We'll see if closing in this tightly will be better. But it's probably going to be worse.

seems like oscar bait. dday was the first grand airborne operation in history and shit weather could make or break the initial impact. but the longest day covers that better.

I just hope this movie makes sure to honor and credit the Black women who did the real work in planning and executing D-Day, despite the rampant racism and sexism they were facing.
