In the tense 72 hours before D-Day, and the fate of the free world hanging in the balance, Pressure follows General Dwight D. Eisenhower and Captain James Stagg as they face an impossible choice—launch the largest and most dangerous seaborne invasion in history or risk losing the war altogether.

Can anyone elaborate for me what the conflict in this movie is about? Is it about how bad weather was going to effect D-Day? Or what the untold true story could be about?

it was super important for dday to be launched on a clear sunny day or else it would likely fail. pretty cool former mayor of cwcville brendan fraiser is going to be in this

It's not as bad a fit as I would have expected, but maaan I do not want to see fucking Encino Man as Dwight D. Eisenhower.

I hope Christian Bale got him ready for the role, otherwise he's aging terribly.

I was talking to friend about this, Tom Sellick did a similar movie years ago. We'll see if closing in this tightly will be better. But it's probably going to be worse.

seems like oscar bait. dday was the first grand airborne operation in history and shit weather could make or break the initial impact. but the longest day covers that better.

I just hope this movie makes sure to honor and credit the Black women who did the real work in planning and executing D-Day, despite the rampant racism and sexism they were facing.
