This show is slow paced and I am not seeing a reason for it other than filler; It is hard to justify it. I like the concept, I like the general story line, but whatever they've got planned for Season 2 had best move at a brisk pace if they want to keep viewers glued to the screen. He learned his lesson from Lost about meandering, but he also forgot a lesson he learned from Lost in that you've got to keep the pace going.

Well, in the penultimate episode of the season, the protagonist finally finds out what the antagonist's plan is. How does she accomplish this? She just asks them. She asks a bunch of questions anyone with more than a room temperature IQ would have asked within the first week. It only took her 60 days!

I love the premise, but holy fucking shit I hate most of the execution, it feels like we're still in the first few episodes, but we are already at the season finale.

it takes so FUCKING long to move anything, from Plot or Character with so much time being wasted into dead silent moments, which is often used to build up suspension, but it's just incredibly boring, like I'm just waiting for the moment to happen instead of anticipating it.

I loved Breaking Bad, and Better Call Saul less, it feels genuinely disappointing to see a creator I have expected to make good stuff to fall short of expectations.

My theory is that this show can be made in just two episodes without the long ass episodes where minimal developpement happens it is probably a creation of walter white in one of his money laundering schemes

Where I see the finale going is that Carol will figure out that in order to break a person out of the hive requires isolating them to a Faraday cage so they cannot communicate with the rest (since I think the weird signal Manousos observed is them communicating in some encrypted way). The next step will be asking Zosia details about her life before. We saw in this episode that when she started recalling her own memories that weird glitch happened and I feel that is the key. Basically push her long enough and the link will break.
The episode will end with her snapping out of it and saying something in Polish and then cut to black.

What I have a hard time figuring out is how will Manousos fit in the next episode. I think it was kind of a bad decision to wait until the finale for him and Carol to meet as there won't be simply due to the episode runtime reasons any time to hash out any real plot development between the two. Unless he rolls up and promptly shoots Zosia in the head.

Manousos is probably going to turn into the "antagonist" who, determining there is no way to cure them, will just want to purge them from existence. He's probably going to be very disappointed in Carol next episode and they will fight. Zosia has said something to the effect from "we can't protect you from the other immunes" before.

I’m thinking the next episode will be 3/4ths montage of Carol and Zoshia doing activities where Carol will “catch feelings.” Then at the end of the episode Manousos will wake up in the hospital and absolutely freak, gravely injuring or killing someone. This will cause the hive to do their meltdown mode. Carol will be confused. We will deal with the fallout in the season finale.

The only thing you got wrong in your prediction was the meltdown.

Please tell me what stocks to invest in.

So as far as I understand without watching this show. It’s basically the great filter is an mRNA virus on a radio signal that some aliens beamed out into space for other species to find, forces them into some stoner’s idea of a Asimov AI hive mind, and basically slow marches them into building a way to propagating the signal.

The series itself focuses on the immune to the virus. Instead of focusing on an immune looking into the hard sci-fi element or the spic doing Omega Man, they focus on a potentially 70 IQ lesbian and nothing happens?

this is exactly what i was going to say
its being made pretty clear that his principals and beliefs come first, and not in some vanilla form
he is quite fanatical about it, and i just dont see how he is going to "fit in" with the others, or even Carol right now

>OH MY SCIENCE I LOVE WATCHING THESE CHARACTERS DO LITERALLY NOTHING FOR 30 MINUTES STRAIGHT IT'S SUCH SLOW-BURN SPINE-TINGLING KINO!!!! I'M GOING TO MAKE A 40 MINUTE VIDEO ESSAY ON WHY THIS IS ARTISTIC BRILLIANCE AND PEAK TELEVISION!!!!!
to play the devil's advocate i also like scenes where a character sits in silence for a bit. the godfather does it pretty well buuuuuttttttttt 2 minutes is way to long and he's a retard for that

Nigga he has like 6 minutes of screentime with 3 lines of dialogue and we don't even know anything about him wtf do you mean
A testament to how horrible Carol is. Which is a shame since Rhea is great.

I think you’re right. One thing I keep thinking about is that will she keep memories while under hive control? Technically Carol and that black dude who has a harem are “raping” the bodies of those in the hive. One thing I didn’t really see mentioned.

It's hard for a writer to make a character smarter then themselves.

Yup, exactly that.

Some people shit all over the speed and pace of the show. Consider what it takes to set the tone, and really express what Carol is going through and you'll find that the minute details are actually really important to explain and...FUCK IT IS MOVING SO GOD DAMNED FUCKING SLOW!!!!
